Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

"Pourtant" is sort of similar to "however". You could say "Il m'a dit qu'il viendrai Γ  la rΓ©union; pourtant, je ne l'ai pas vu." A similar French word would be the conjunction "or" which is pretty much used the same way. "Il m'a dit qu'il viendrai; or, je ne l'ai pas vu."

Okay, thanks

#

But I remember seeing it used also at the end of the sentence

#

Like... "Il est très connu pourtant !"

Yeah it can be used like that as well

I heard people translating it to "though", but are there any other words?

"Though" works, it's pretty much the same idea
