Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
what? i thought you could
me too. Here's some context
Friend: you have to think and talk more in French to improve
Me: d'accord, je l'essayerai
Friend: wrong
bro what
if my french is not completely incorrect
i believe it is
correct
yeah its correct
idk what ur friend is on about
idk either đŠ
he's the frenchest french person i know. when i told him i will ask my teacher he gets annoyed
i'm just listening to a bunch of vocals he sent to "explain" buried in a bunch of nagging so my energy is taken out already lol
if u allow me to hear them js send in dms if u dont its fine\
"Use logic! is it because in english you dont use logic much" blah blah blah
yeah lol imma just ask the teacher
tell me what happens pls
it's basically vocals like "think about why je vais essayer is right and why je l'essayerai is not. think about it!"
tell him that "je vais essayer" doesn't mean the same thing as "je l'essayerai" in the way that "je vais essayer" means "i am going to try" and "je l'essayerai" is in the simple future, and it means "i will try it". If you wanted to say "i am going to try it" in the near future tense, you would say "je vais l'essayer"
je vais l'essayer - thank you
yeah i was telling him the same message too haha
lol
yeah ur right
that's why i didnt think of using futur proche at first
can i say âJâessayeraiâ ?
however, depending on the meaning your'e going for or the context in which you're using it, it may not be appropriate
well yes
yes, thatâs what i was thinking
i think that if youâre referring to a specific thing that youâre gonna try (e.g. a clothing piece), you could say « Je vais lâessayer » or « Je lâessayerai ».
however, i think that because youâre referring to trying âto think and talk more Frenchâ, itâs not a specific thing, so you should say « Je vais essayer » or « Jâessayerai » only
its probably "j'essayerai ca"?
iâm not sure though ;-;
yes, that could work as well
