Feedback on the Low Grade and Sift Recipes here please.

Beware: Sift was kinda buggy, it removed half the silica put into it, instead of converting all leftovers into sand. I did leave that in intentionally though, for more "data". 🙂

You know my feedback buy ill add it here. I think the new crusher recipes (80 sandstone in x sand and x crushed rocks...etc...) should have more mixed crushed rocks and less sand, else the method is to use that for the 16ish crushed rocks, 1 mixed, and 1 crushed irone into the sift. Replacing some of the crushed rocks with mix crushed rocks would stop me from just setting up both the recipes and end up with a silly amount of crushed iron ore. The sifting is fine. Maybe some mixed crushed there too so both recipes have more of a dead item there instead of just sand which is highly valuable.

@wintry orchid could you post all the recipes here? Im only very familiar with the sandstone one

I think for the low grade, at least for sandstone, making it give 14 crushed sandstone and 5 mixed might make it not a no-brainer. At least with this, you need to do two cycles to do one cycle of the sift recipes.

#

im not sure how to translate that to the other ones tho. Im not really thinking about ratios atm

How do the sifting recipes for ore compare in sand production to the sand recipes? They look like they might be almost a strict upgrade if ore is more desirable than sand.

i wonder what effect it had on the stock of rock and the availability of ore in general.
did it crash the market for any of the 3 ores? was it even noticeable?
was it easier to fulfill the required copper and gold?

it should make a future dump interesting to test

Here is my feedback ! Knowing that I am not playing on Mining/Rocks side on this cycle so my opinion here is very subjective. I feel like the concept of transforming rocks into ore is too strong. With those recipes I barely see why I should try to find ores in the world when I could just dig tons of rocks with a Skid steer and transform everything into ores. Yeah they cost a lot of Labour/Time but it's still more profitable than trying to find wild ores and you can quickly finish drowned in ores instead of stockpiles full of annoying rocks. The recipes are missing annoying byproducts I'd say. Maybe not Tailings, but Slag could be something. 🤔
