(this is a copy pasta from last time I was MoI)
The roadworker title will be given out from the PM or the MoI after a quick screening process of understanding of order of operations.
Road Construction Rules
- ALL Federal Highways, and State Roads are to be build at level 70.
- There are to be NO "holes" under roads
- No stacking dirt on the outside line to make the road appear "supported"
- All Bridges must be supported by some sort of stone BUILDING material at least every 10 spaces.
- All Bridges must also have a guardrail of some kind to keep vehicles from falling off.
- All tunnels must have a stone building material "coating" and be 12x6 in size
** The first focus is to make USABLE roads, no more then 5 wide in any area until full connections are made. We do NOT need 10 wide stone roads due to asphalt arriving later in time. Do only one of the lanes ( not in the buffer zone). North side if the highway is East<->West, East side if Highway is North<->South ( See picture below ) **
Unica
- The Height of the federal Highways is to stay level with unica (block inside level 70) globally (even if it means tunnelling through a mountain, or making an elevated roadway).
- This is partly for ease of planning globally, and everyone knows EXACTLY where it is going to be eventually.
- However also due to maintaining a reliably flat roadway for those that want/need to have a more reliably less bumpy drive. (this is partly to accommodate some players who have legitimate difficulties with bumpy roads)
Federal Law Relevant Rules
- Infrastructure needs to be built realistically compared to its real-life counterparts. Roads must have an unobstructed minimum roadway height and width of five blocks, should avoid changes in height level over their course as long as that is aesthetically and realistically possible and shouldn’t be built below height 70 for the purpose of flood protection.
- Federal Highways and State Routes additionally must fit symmetrically into an even number of claims.
- All roads of a type should have a unified design in their region, determined by the managing authority.
- Tunnels must have a ceiling and wall coating while bridges are required to have realistic safety and support structures."
Bridges & Elevation
- All roads MUST be supported. If an elevated bridge is needed it must be supported by stone building blocks of some kind at a maximum of 10 blocks (unless a specific design is approved) and roads that are elevated over the natural land should have guardrails as soon as possible.
- All Ocean Bridges are required to be built out of T4 materials and are required to have 13 open space block above water in order to allow all kinds of boats to pass. They must also have 10 wide supports in order for large boats to pass through.
- Tunnels will be required to be lined with T3/T4 materials when available beyond market needs. Tunnels are also required to have 5 open spaces in height to allow for all vehicles (excavator I'm looking at you) to pass through.
Fines
- Doing mining/excavating/poor roads placement that results in extra work needing to be done in order to fix things, may result in a fine.
- Any egregious mining under federal highways will result in removal of title and up to a fine where necessary to cover labour to fix.
- Anyone to have been found "closing the edge of the roads" with dirt to make a highway "appear" supported will have their title removed.
Agreement
- By requesting the Federal Highway Workers title you are stating that you
- Have read and understand these rules
- Will abide by these rules
- Accept that you will be fined if you do not follow these rules.
**- The PM and MoI reserve the right to remove anyone from the title for any reason if deemed necessary.
- The PM and MoI also reserve the right to alter verbiage where it was not clear as intention of the guidelines.**
