I know the locality well. I have been there a few times already. The current route will not be funded by the MoI, however, nothing keeps you to build it as your own project.

To be granted funding by the MoI, please read on.

As the office of the MoI is not the lowest authority in the region I would like you to work with the lowest governing authority to find a route that is 1) wider and 2) less jagged. if the canal can only be 3 tiles wide (with walls filling the space 4 and 5 of a claim's width), this request will not be financed by the current MoI. going around a 3 wide corner is not possible but for the smallest of water crafts.
minimal requirements for funding is:

  • at least 2 claims wide
  • less or equal to three 90° kinks (mind you, 45° diagonal is possible)

Please present your solution here.

if there is no alternative route found, the current MoI will not fund the presented project.

In case you find a route that fulfills the mentioned requirements, please prepare the following and present it together with solution for the alternative routing.

  • a (rough) cost analysis of the project. i.e. how much will materials host, how much the labor, etc.
  • you (or a person of your choice) have to have a talk with the people who's claims are bordering the channel and ask for their permission/inform them about the project and get their "blessing" for the lack of a better word. not everyone is interested in having the tiles directly next to their homestead torn up for a canal.
  • estimate for the construction time.
