I guess it's just by coincidence the tree has cleared two towns to be sanctuary towns. Similarities to zombie movies are solely by chance 😄
But ultimately I just was amused by "raise the dead", I simply never heard this used for "resurrecting dead people", but solely for necromancy shenanigans where what comes back isn't necessarily much of what it was before anymore. 🙂

Sometimes it gets a bit confusing when the divine entity of White Tiger is supposed to be a World Tree, but the Holy Animal is the Otter. Maybe people should fly to space to investigate if the world is really spherical (or donut shaped, as some believe) or if it turns out to be tiger shaped, rolled in.

Help me, World Tree.
I don't have the strength to continue. The infection, the meteor, the people, the Federation itself: I don't know why I care.
I do care, still. I don't understand it, though. I try to engage the people and share my wisdom; the wisdom I believe you want shared, World Tree. I try to inspire them, as I was once inspired and uplifted by you. I want to believe in them.
But I just can't, World Tree.
There are some people motivated by higher ideas. Some people who truly seek to help others, and some people who truly seek to live in trial and error. But there are so many more who would rather wallow in their own selfish desires and take pleasure in the inequities of their fellow citizens. They have no care for the greater good; as long as their own needs are met, then they are satisfied.
I understand we cannot have trial and error without error, and perhaps my anger and lack of faith in these individuals is my error. But what is to be done, World Tree, when the desires of the few can take away from the needs and desires of us all?
I bear a weight that no one person understands. A position that I volunteered for and was volunteered for all at once. I see more of the picture than any one person can see; even you, I fear, World Tree.
So I pray to you, World Tree. Give me back my faith. Help me to believe again. I never lost my faith in you, World Tree, but the people... I want to believe that the work I do is truly worth doing.
I want to believe that our world is worth saving.
