i do know there was a like
mega church ceremony
in the ballroom stage before the concert
is that why the parking lot was insane for the cafe event?
but yeah i wonder if that had anythign to do with our schedule being changed. maybe they had to find extra staff or something
yes pretty much counting down as soon as i got sat
new york was way better in terms of comfortability in getting settled for the photo
ok yeah that's what i felt like too, at least for sua and yoo
jiu felt a little less rushed but still rushed
i feel like the most conversation i had was when i was walking away saying thank you
Y'all actually say meaningful stuff to them?
i had asked yooh if everything was all good when i went to get my bag cause i felt guilty for not directly Asking her for a hug (cause again. did not have time to communicate a pose) but that was like, All that i was able to say between being rushed and also having anxiety
I want a hug too 😵💫
I mean I had just wanted to say like thank you for the show, hope you come back soon
But didn’t even have time for that lol
But I’m still happy, show was fun and pictures came out good
I wanted to tell them how much they mean to me since I discovered them but literally only had time to say hi and bye 😭
I got to flex my bracelets to yoohyeon tho during send off lmao
i thought she was about to ask for one of them for a second haha
I would’ve given her one but I really didn’t want to risk being yelled at by staff 😭
they were a little scary last night lol
Ngl felt like we were all cattle 😅
REAL
they announced no gifts right
Yes, they clearly stated no gifts before send off started
people abused the polite privilege so it had to be done. It was supposed to not be allowed before anyway but it really had to be explicitly said after I saw a couple people in Chicago take up just a little too much time giving gifts and talking and taking a selfie
bruh how do you have the time to do all three i can only do one
you can see the person to my right in my sendoff video do exactly that with JiU
i just saw your sendoff vid and yeah compared to atlanta it was definitely slower and they took more time
now they're speeding up send off a bit more
i dont think time was the issue
they just dont have room for all the gifts in their luggage
and it's better not to accept them than to throw them away
I don't remember who was in the no benefits + Snapshots only group, but they directed us to our "little corner"
😖
time is always an issue
okay the main issue
the way to do it is the way JP concerts have done it in the past, which is there's a little box and you put your gifts in there and they make their way to the group eventually
i just don't get why people are giving them big gifts (bigger than letters/bracelets)
bc the website says this
no, you don't get your interaction but the gift gets where it is supposed to be and no time is wasted
so i think maybe that's the main reason
which makes sense they wouldnt wanna pay for extra checked bags ig
the problem is their FAQ messed up
you can see that is applicable only to a fan chat or fansign benefit
and not a sendoff
honestly last night all of us expected to be there until midnight or 1 am since everything was after the concert. we finished at 11:15 PM and one of the venue staff literally ran to the door saying "we're done! time to leave!"
but they do not make that question a sub-question of the what is a fansign/fanchat questions
it would apply regardless tho
like there's the same amount of space in their luggage whether sendoff or fansign
another thing about the faq is they say no recordings during any fan engagements which you would think mean sendoff
yeah isnt sendoff a newer thing tho?
again, this does not list sendoff, yet photos or videos are allowed
maybe its just not updated yet
yeah they're just not specific
I don't know, but if it is, they should have updated their FAQ
yeah while they have like the most extensive faq i've seen, it's definitely missing a lot of stuff
but yeah logically it would still apply and that's why
or they contradict some of it
it's disorganized. It needs a re-work
also the atlanta show ended at 11pm too AND we had some VIP stuff done before the concert AND it felt too short too
AND the concert ended on time
I was out of the venue at 11:20pm or so, it was about the right length
1:47 run time and about an hour and some change to run through 1:1 and sendoff
yeah so we were like if yall get out at 11:20 and your vip stuff is beforehand then ours should take like 2 hours
prob feels shorter bc not a full concert?
we still wrapped in like the same amount of time as yall even though everything was after
nah i'm talking about the time for fan engagements/pictures
i definitely didn't want to be rushed for the pictures
that's like the only time they can see you closely
yeah dallas was definitely rushed
i dont think i was rushed
it's a balance. the more people you have and more members you have, the more that time was important
but maybe i just like didnt notice, i just ignore them if the members are still talking to me
then you factor in the venue curfew and time to break down and that contributes
I think my time with Yoo was maybe 10-15 seconds
yeah next time i'll pay more attention to the members than the staff then
like we pay $100+ for these
yeah i had like 3 seconds before they took their picture in dallas
the members take the lead usually but there are also limits
they dont rly get mad or never have with me anyway
tbf the members weren't really talking to me so there wasn't really anything nfor me to ignore
but i still felt rusehd haha
ahhh i guess maybe that's why it was more rushed
the only downside was that SuA was talking to me too much during our photo in new york that it needed to be retaken because I wasn't paying attention to the camera
staff can and should move things along even if the artist is taking a bit more time with someone, but it is very much a judge in the moment thing and you get good at it with practice
I've done it on that side of the fence before, trust me when I sa if a staff member moves you along it is, assuming they are not being rude, more than about rushing you
the difference between finishing on time and finishing 15-20 minutes late is literally money sometimes, depending on venue crew and especially if they are union
a tightly budgeted tour cannot afford to pay extra unless they are selling the house consistently on their stops, then you have a little wiggle room
i understand that, i just like complaining lol
however, to everyohne's point, I always told people not to be assholes about it
and to judge how the artist is interacting especially with some0one they are familiar with
whats funny is when i was walking away from my pic with sua, she was like i love you and when i said it back, she looked so confused lol
might not have heard you over the noise
mann I don't know it seemed like there wasn't enough time when I saw them the second time for them to even recognize who they're taking pictures with
but my other friend got interactions with them so maybe it's because I didn't really start conversation with them
I wasn't at the send-off so it didn't affect me
but "WE'RE DONE. LET'S CELEBRATE" is so wild
no it isn't
also they need to clean the backdrop they keep on reusing for the photos lmao it's getting dirtier at every stop
that crew started their day likely at 5am or 6am, ended at 11pm, you are damn right I am celebrating when I close a show
fact is you're not even done after you get everyone out of there
that's when I started my day 😖
so I'm the same as the crew 😵💫
I even didn't have high-speed data to access Google Maps to get to the venue 😖
did you load in a whole bunch of sound equipment, taped everything down, help assemble the stage, ensure the house audio matched the equipment brought in and all before mid morning so the artist could get in their first sound check? Then repeat again after a couple hours for rehearsal, barely get any lunch in then help out with line control all while coordinating with artist last minute stuff?
if you did not, no, you are not the same as the crew
[I was joking 😛 ]
I know you were
the fact is that through no fault of anyone's people rarely know what goes into this stuff
I think people would be much more cooperative if they knew what the staff had to do to prepare an event as massive as this for us
heh, you'd be surprised how many people know and are still assholes to the crew or staff working a show
oh wow
people being assholes to artists or artists being assholes to the crew?
I did NOT see that happening
I would think that crazy fans are likely
but not artists
heh, ask anyone who does or did this work, if they are willing they will tell you at least one horror story about an artist who you wouldn't expect who is a rude jerk
I don't name names even years out of working events but it can be eye-opening
I'm fine as long as it's not among my favorite groups 😖
which obviously this one is one of them
if I'd had my mail answered by PAV I might have actually foregone my UAU ticket to work the show just for old time's sake
but I'm glad in retrospect that I didn't get an answer since the show was fun
I was disappointed that the show had only 9 performances, but it's a fan concert, and I guess they didn't want to use OT7 DC songs
but given my experience yesterday, I would do it all over again
honestly with less than half the group any dreamcatcher cover just wouldn't do it justice
Jeff had me laughing when he said “ive been waiting for this” during Sua’s solo
I would have liked a couple more assembled special stages but honestly given how wild their scheduling has been since around april I am not surprised there wasn't time
yeah and then she didn't even sing most of it
but I think SuA's solo stage is the most intense out of all of the solo stages if I recall?
I agree it was
it has the most aggressive choreography
maybe i should follow franks step and try to volunteer for a free show
if you can and want to experience it once, it's very insightful. Tiring, but insightful. Then if you are one of the few who get bitten by the show bug and want to do more you can, and maybe make a little cash on the side if you want
I wouldn’t mind them doing Dreamcatcher songs next tour. Kinda like how ARTMS performs loona songs as 5 members
wear comfortable shoes and clothes you aren't afraid to ruin, stow some water with your things
I agree they wouldn't do it as well as if they were OT7
All of them are some of the best performers I've seen, but Siyeon is just tip of the top
Is volunteer sign up before ticket sales normally? Like if I had to decide if I just wanted to watch the show or work
But I am curious and might try for a future upcoming show if it’s on a weekend
depends on the promoter, but for PAV it looks like they do volunteer call just before or juust after sales start
I wanted to volunteer for the show but sadly volunteers weren’t allowed to watch the concert at all
yep
comes with the territory
you ain't there for the free stuff, you're there to work
i can’t watch?
well you can, but it better be incidental to what you are doing for work
Ight so the move is to volunteer for a group I don’t care about as much…
What about volunteering to perform with the artists 😵💫
That’s understandable. Do all promotors have volunteer like leo and all themem
nope
back up dancer jeff
some of them are all-internal staff or if they do take on people it's contracted from the venue
I'm not attractive enough for that 😖
granted some of my knowledge is a bit old, so things are maybe different now
Which speaking of, one of the backup dancers did catch my attention more than the members at multiple points
All good! I appreciate the info and will prob be on the watch out for future shows
hope you like 16 hours 6 day a week practice

I would be a backup dancer for them if I worked out more and had the stamina lollll
Also @velvet lily dm’ed btw
can i be a prop on the stage; i'll be a tree :3
while they are good enough to pick up basic choreography fast what you see in a behind the scenes is most certainly condensed from days and hours of practice
Hey if BIBI can use an audience member as a prop, why can't DC 😖
they take a fan on the stage and perform sacrifice circling around them
I wish they would’ve done this for the tour
there's trust, but not that level of trust
so what you're saying is that BIBI trusts her fans more than DC trusts their fans 😵💫
💀
I don't trust all dc fans either lol
i wish they did pick more people for the games though
that would've been more fun
Yea I think some fans would ruin the experience if that happened
even with UAU doing a mature concept I don't think they are doing one that would have something that exceeds what they might be comfortable with.
1:1 a few seconds is one thing, extended performance for 2-3 minutes entirely another
also they don't even give out the polas "randomly" they've just been handing them out
grey got shoved one while he was looking at his phone
I noticed that
we didn't even get a chance at polas outside of the games so something weird happened with Chicago
isnt that random?
no it was like that for all stops
we all wondered where the other polas were going to
they just give it out
like if they're just handing it to a random person, that is random LMFAO
not really random if you are seeing who gets it you're technically choosing them
I didn't see anything being handed out
i never saw anybody at dallas have one or them handing it out
someone's going to have to confirm it was done in Chitown
true random is pulling it out of a draw
a raffle isn't really random either you have to specifically pick a ticket?
grey and the friend next to him both got dallas'
no they hand out the tickets
I think Nari means a ticket is independent of seeing a person first and deciding
so lucky
frankly to me there's little difference unless I as a staff member recognize someone and decide to hand it over
The person who won the bean cube bag throwing competition was a beast at it
yeah same
it still feels random to me that way bc it's not like staff knows anyone
if I'm just kinda walking the line and I just hand it over without much consideration it is as random as it can get, however is it an equal chance, especially when not everyone is in line at the time? Maybe not
staff on tour can and will recognize tour followers. it's just the nature of it
it's what they do with that knowledge that matters
it's just not an equal chance if you're like going to the bathroom and they're just giving it out during break time that's just unlucky i guess
well what if you lose your raffle ticket?
then that's totally on that person haha
they told us they wouldn't hand out another
vs being in the bathroom
being in the bathroom is being at the wrong place at the wrong time
yeah like you still had teh chance if you lose the ticket
you just lost the ticket
but if you didnt get the ticket bc you just happened to not be there when they handed it out isnt necessarily the same
yeah i think they're not putting much effort into announcing the winners
honestly, my idea was that they should've just announced it on stage and have the members pick
that's what happened in 2019
from the lottery like while they're drawing winners for the game
so when it didn't happen at all I just figured they didn't have time to take 3 more for some reason

maybe in case the games went over time or something
Sometimes the artists company can change the format. 3:1 for example was done with phone than Pola camera
To be fair. My friend won the raffle and got on stage (game Pola). I got my Pola from the pav manager (she randomly walked around during snap-pic and put Pola on your hand)
And friend from another group won the unit Pola (she was not with me during snap-pic)
I think I’m already on the manager’s bad side for asking to retake a pic
my pola chances are down the drain
Really wish they would just announce raffle numbers than handing them out
YOU GOT A RANDOM POLA???
I AM SO DANG JEALOUS
||I know where I’m going if the Purge hits us||
I miss them so much 😭
Me too 😭
I regret not trying to meet some Dallas insomnia but I was too shy.
Next time!!
next time !!!
I'm a Dallas native so I'm always here!
Same here, I live in Dallas so I’m around
Can’t wait to see y’all at future Kpop/DC shows!!
^^^
Coping that they would perform Good Night but we wouldn't have to part ways via saying Good Night 😖
I hope they perform Dreamcatcher songs as 3 next time
PCD is so bad, I keep looking back at my photos, vids, and freebies 😭
for reallll
i wish i had taken more 😭
i keep looiking for a recording of our show so i can relive it, but i cant find any
Can we turn back time to relive it
damn jeff really into it
With the way my snapshots went, of course I want to relive it 😵💫

So turns out the reason why all the 1:1 and 1:3 photos were moved after the show was bc a church was hosting an event the same day before the show
wtf
this church is #1 on my personal enemy tier list
Why wouldnt they host such an event at a church
