yeh this is the especially problematic part. they've just messaged me to say they've now set up an accessible area after meeting with the venue, but all of us have since gotten seated tickets so don’t need it anymore. not sure if there are more disabled fans who may need it, but at least it's set up now. they said it's "on the main hall floor, next to southern gallery's stage". I've never been there so not sure where that is

If it's just wheelchair accessible, without stairs and close to an exit, that's great but not enough realistically. Keep bothering them 🫡

no they haven't defined what it means, but I'd say it is wheelchair accessible so will be great for wheelchair users and anyone with mobility issues that mean they can't navigate the stairs within the balcony section. the fans I'm in contact with are fine with the small amount of stairs in the balcony and that's why we have all bought new tickets and sought refunds (as difficult as that was)

I think it will be sectioned off to make it clear it's the accessible area, but also so people don't trip on any of it

it's just weird that this wasn't set up in the first place, and info re: accessibility not made available on flicket

the venue's excuse was that it's an old, heritage listed building so they don't have defined accessible areas but surely if they're booking people in for events there, that should be one of the first things they discuss and sort out so it's ready before ticketing

Even their constant silence and inability to communicate can be seen as a violation of ACL (it can be considered as misleading the consumer). Their failure to disclose that they were at least discussing seated options could be seen as them misleading us

Businesses are not supposed to omit relevant information about products they are providing to consumers. In this case, there's quite a few times where they have failed to disclose relevant (and important) information. Some are less important but the seated tickets being arranged is a major concern and if people are still struggling to get a refund, try using that.

"Under the Australian Consumer Law, businesses must disclose all relevant information to the consumer. Several attendees had requested information on whether seated tickets would be made available, and Boxlive failed to address any concerns or provide updates. As a result, they deliberately omitted information that was vital for attendees to know prior to purchasing their tickets. Now that seated tickets have been released, Boxlive is failing to provide opportunities for refunds or exchanges to people who have already purchased tickets. ok the airport train is pretty cheap and easy, but uber is a good option too if you're not staying too far from the airport. luckily sydney's airport is fairly close to the city. for the concert the biggest thing is to pay attention to the rules about what you can and can't take in, as you may have to throw items in the bin that they don't allow. they will release more info closer to the concert but generally you can only take smaller sized bags in, and keep the contents to a minimum

This is gonna be my first kpop concert but i have been to plenty of metal concerts so some things will carry over.

If you want to have a chance of being towards the front maybe try lining up 2 hours early, and if you dont wanna risk missing out on merch you want to definitely buy stuff before the concert. There should be a cloak booth where you can store your stuff during the concert if you dont want to risk losing anything

for artms it wasn't too bad, they had a pre-order website and you just picked up your merch at the gig. but you sacrifice your spot in the line to pick up the merch, because everyone else will run to get a good spot and you'll be stuck in a huge merch line

if you're going to line up for a long time, i highly recommend buying hydralite tablets and popping them into your water bottle. that way you will keep your electrolytes up, without having to consume too much liquid (the more you consume, the more you'll have to pee). you could also use gatorade

Security usually brings out slabs of water to give to the crowd so you might have to hold off until then, but if you dont feel very well definitely give it up and get hydrated, it's not worth ruining your concert experience over it @icy garden
