With Dreamcatcher's latest tour having just ended, we're asking a really easy Topic of the Week question - what was the best part of REASON: MAKES World Tour, US leg, in 2023? Was it the varied setlist or styling, or a particular speaking part/skit or performance? If you attended, did you have a really cool moment involving the group that was unforgettable for you? If you didn't, was there something you saw that you wanted to see for the next time you're able to attend a Dreamcatcher concert? The DCCord community would like to know!

To celebrate the end of another successful Dreamcatcher tour with the group having performed and returned home safely, I**'ll be giving away two games on Steam (limit 1 per winner) - FPS game DOOM: Eternal (Standard Edition) and 2021 BAFTA-award winning action game Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice**! For the latter game, if you are from CN or JP, I will find an alternative for you due to region-restrictions. Winners from the last giveaway I ran do not qualify.

All you have to do to qualify for the giveaway when you participate in this topic is do the following:
-Your reply must be at least 3 or 4 actual, coherent sentences
-Your reply must provide a picture, video, or other media from the tour that you found awesome (doesn't have to be related to your moment but can be)

As per usual, you will have until the next Topic of the Week goes up to participate, after which the giveaway will be posted and qualifying participants will receive an exclusive role to participate in the giveaways in the #giveaways channel, so watch this thread for that post and hit the giveaways channel to enter! In the event you win twice, you will choose one game to win and we will re-roll the other.

Looking forward to hearing about your favorite parts of the latest tour!

Even though the venue was seated and there's lots of complaints post-show, I really loved the friends we made along the way. I couldn't get close enough, so Meet&Greet was rushed, it was quite an experience, still, I was able to meet a good handful of Insomnias. Thanks to the Atlanta crew, we got a lot done together as fans, like relaying messages so that while we're separated, the concert as a whole can be enjoyed in this mess of a venue.

The schedule is because I have to return back for Keshi the next week, and potentially miss Epik High because of a family trip.

This tour was amazing, from the setlists to the outfits to the performances it was by far my favorite tour I’ve been a part of yet.

My FAVORITE part is definitely the VVIP though. It was so unbelievably worth it compared to other VIP ive had at kpop concerts. The hi touch and group pic were fun and gave great chances to actually speak to them and interact.

I was able to confirm that they recognize me and speak to them briefly and although we could not record it those memories are never going away.

Jiu’s shock at my broken mong mongie and Yoohyeon asking me if it was difficult going to so many stops will forever replay in my mind.

Obligatory dongie thumbs up and DongEvil

The Atlanta “We are always with Dreamcatcher, we can spend more time” banners flying during the first live performance of Reason. Seeing their reactions from the front row and having Gahyeon reading mine directly is not just one of my favorite Dreamcatcher memories but one of my favorite concert memories in general.

This beat out a blown kiss / acknowledgment from my ultimate bias (SuA), Handong crouching directly infront of me during New Days, and my first ever VVIP / Meet n Greet.

That moment was truly special

As a fan who started late 2019, I appreciated their older songs being performed (Chase Me, You and I, and What, which I've copiumed for a bit). It makes me wonder how often they still practice those songs or only when they know they'll perform it again.

I attended the one in Oakland and won't forget the interaction moment with Yoohyeon. I had a small sign (which was held below my head to not block anyone and cleared with the staff twice).

The sign read "Will Yooh steal my photocard" with a photocard of her and a bunny from the seasons greeting. She mouthed "I'm sorry I can't" after reading it and then formed a heart with both her hands towards me and continued to sing. So sweet of her.

They do try their best to notice fans and some multiple times, with fun and even "deadly" interactions.

I posted this before and will do it again! My favorite picture I took during the Concert. I didn't notice the background until after the concert due to focusing on the members. I like how the heart background paired with Yoohyeon's smile

My first kpop concert was at Oakland and was blown away by all the energy from both dreamcatcher and the crowd. Everything about the day was so awesome from meeting other insomnia at the fan cafe some new and many from this discord to the actual show and vip interactions with the group. I was unready for the hitouch and didn’t manage to get any words out but after I asked yooh about Pie’s Insta which she said she forgot the password Dongkek and she also made a heart with me during the photo. I didn’t record or take many pictures during the actual show since I just wanted to be in the moment but the one picture I did take was from my favorite song You and I. Can’t wait for when they come back!

To be honest, this entire concert experience was everything to me. I have been a fan since they debuted, when in passing, I came across a video of their debut stage “Chase Me” on YouTube. I’d been searching other bands. (I was a fan of Gfriend back then hahah).
I had actually come across their older Minx songs (though I wasn’t a fan of that concept) prior to their debut, and I recognized them in the video. It was a bit shocking to learn that they’d re-debuted at that time. The new style really caught me.

I followed them for years, but I was never financially stable enough to either collect albums or go to any physical concerts myself. I still enjoyed the online concerts they threw, though.

Last year was supposed to be the time I finally got to see them, but my grandmother caught Covid and that ended up not happening.
I remember sadly telling my friend in December that I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to see them myself live. And then, not long into this year, we suddenly got the announcement.. That they were coming back already. I made sure to prepare everything for it that I could, items from the first fankit, and one of the oldest lightstick versions that existed, to show them my support has been long-term in person.

The preparation wasn’t in vain either, because the smiles they gave in recognition of the Insomnia Badge and Lightstick were so bright and happy. I found it impossible to be tired even though we had stood in freezing rain of Chicago most of the day. And I couldn’t stop smiling for the whole experience.

I was so starstruck meeting them in person that I totally froze and everything I’d planned to say wouldn’t come out. (Probably relatable for many people, hahah).
It was all I could do to just put my hand against theirs while smiling, look in their eyes, and say as sincerely as I could thank you so much..
I probably would have cried if I’d had any brain cells remaining inside of my starstruck mind. It was an experience that shook me so much.

The icing on top was when we finally got to experience the photo shoot and the fellow fans I went with made sure that I got to sit right in front of Dami, who messed with me by putting her hands atop my head after another fan told her that I love her and she messed up my hair, and then fixed my hat for the photo shoot. But even besides that, the warm smiles of every member while I met them, and the heart hands they gave really, seriously made my day. It’s something I’ll never forget and would absolutely die for to experience again.

This was my favorite video I took: the end goodbyes after the show.

So there were a few moments for me overall. First was the concert. Never been to one in my entire life, always too scared to go. Between my dislike of driving and crowds its not hard to see why this took courage. But then I met Cheri, Talleifer, Yoohonion, IronAnchor and Zhaldros (now Sua held my hand), among many others. And it clicked, I was with people who had the same interest as me, who wanted to have a blasting good time. Without all of them, id have had a terrible experience and would have likely missed the concert if not in part then entirely.

Second is related to the picture. While i was General Assembly and also tired from the line, cold to the bone, I realized it was actually happening. Everyone else went to VIP and the fear started again but at this point I knew to keep courage. And damn what a show it was. I mean I have no other experience but if its always as rocking as the vibe and energy went as went down in the Radius, then its never gonna be a bad time. And I went for it, letting loose all my fears to the wind and fist pumping, shouting, bouncing on my feet, I didnt care if I looked a fool to others.

Dreamcatcher gave me courage. But I found a new group of friends im never leaving and will always support. And both are precious to me.

so Ive been out and in of kpop for awhile . Grew up wtih SNSD and WG then progressed to Twice. At the time that i quit , Twice havent been doing to hot into music that i like. So in an attempt to find a new group to stan,I started to look for Nugu Groups. and thus i stumble on to Dreamcatcher Chase me mv with a little over 20k views and have been a fan ever since. Dreamcatcher was always a group that ive been into . In and out of kpop i have always been following DC either watching their lives/content on Vlive . I was part of the original top 10 fans on their Vlive account ( twice logo pfp ) as i would watch them almost every day and send hearts .

Fast-forwards to January , I saw that they were on Tour and without thinking just bought tickets with no real plans . Its something i have never planned on doing but it became the best thing ever . I met so much people IRL, Became an Adult by actually going alone and doing stuff by myself. I had to get out of my shell to meet new Insomnia and enjoy the show .

Meeting a group that ive been following for years ( 6 to be exact ) left me star struck . During the HiTouch, i was so ready to meet Yoohyeon whos dorky personality always caught my eyes. In a turn of events, The two girls infront of me moved super super slow talking to each member. And in that moment I GOT STUCK WITH SUA FOR A GOOD 10-15 SEC WHICH FELT LIKE A LIFE TIME . Sua was spinning in circles, slapping each hand and saying thank you for coming . . I stupidly just stopped at her and said OMG THANK YOU FOR PERFORMING DUDE. When she heard that , she stopped to look at me in my eyes and winked ,and gave me the warmest smile i ever felt in awhile . Yeah we ended up staring at each other for awhile , Yeah it was awkward af but i was starstruck . She then said thank you and i had to move forward . Its a small interaction but it made my world and i plan on going to more events for them with all the firends that i have met on tour.

Like everyone else, I have a ton of things I loved about the concerts I went to (lucky enough to have gone to both NY and Reading). First thing, unlike last year, before both concerts I got to meet up with other insomnias from DCCord. It was really great to talk about Dreamcatcher in real life and be around people who share my love for them. To add to the planned insomnia interactions, I had a hundred more unplanned ones!

  • A group playing DC songs through a speaker before the NY show, who then hyped me up when I went and spun around in circles when Starlight started playing
  • Santos, Bri, and lots of others I didn't get names from giving out free stuff, including one person who gave out cookies before the PA concert
  • The people next to me at the NY show who had just as great a time as I did
  • The two people who were across the street from me that loudly and proudly answered my HOLD UP
  • The people who had the sign that had everyone pick up a sharpie and put our signature on as we were walking in
  • The hundred other 1-2 second interactions I had with people, it all only made me more excited for the show
And then we got our magnets, which I love looking at every time I walk into my kitchen. The setlist was great, and I especially loved watching Chase Me, What, and Wind Blows. I got to touch all their hands, TWICE EACH, while getting 2 seconds of 1 on 1 time with each of them both times. Siyeon recognized and remembered me and we waved at each other very energetically. Lastly, in the group photo, I got to exchange mutual 행복해요s with SuA and we made finger hearts at each other. Like last year, seeing Dreamcatcher has been the highlight of my year.

This was my 2nd time seeing dreamcatcher. Even though the weather in Chicago was rough I had a good time just hanging out with other insomnia before the concert. Siyeon had on probably my favorite outfit they have worn at any of there concerts. But my favorite thing was probably just the setlist and how varied it was. The concert last year they had mainly focused on songs released since the last time they had toured. So this time it was great to hear songs ranging all the way from Chase Me to Reason. My favorite performance specifically had to be Scream just for into it the crowd got and how much energy there was during it.

First Kpop concert ever for me was this one. Found Dreamcatcher almost 10 months ago and only started my kpop journey a couple months before that, but DC climbed to the top of my favorite group real quick. I had just missed getting tickets last year when they came by SF so I jumped at the chance for the Oakland stop this time and so glad I did.

I went to it not knowing anyone else and really tried to put myself out there, like joining this discord and going to the cafe event in Oakland and hoping I don’t shy away from meeting people in person. So one of the highlights of this tour for me was meeting some fans irl and getting to know others post-concert in chatting here. Being around other fans can really make an event feel extra special and millions times more fun, just like I felt at other concerts or watching Godzilla in theaters. Can’t thank enough for everyone in making it easy to just fanboy out to DC and hopefully can make more memories at future concerts.

Lastly, the concert itself was amazing and the hi-touch has to be my next best highlight. I knew it was going to be fast but I was still not mentally or physically prepared. Seeing them up close felt surreal that I just blanked out in the middle of it and I’m the blink of an eye it was over. But I don’t regret that one minute of high fives because each one gave me more life. Especially with Sua’s energy being the first in line even after just performing on stage. Maybe it was me attempting to say thank you in Korean, but she felt pumped up and that helped hype me up for the rest of the high fives even if I can’t remember all of them. I can’t wait for the next concert from them!

I didn’t take many photos so I could just live in the moment of the concert, but when I did I tried to get all of them in the shot (since more zoom would have been blurrier)

I enjoyed the friends I made that day. The day flew by and I was seeing them before I knew it. We all did the hi touch and couldnt even remember the order because we were all in shock. We were not any better for the picture and it was over before we knew it. This was definitely my favorite moment along w SuA saying she loved me aDongUwuHeart

My favorite moment was getting my eardrums destroyed by Gahyeon at the end of silent night. I had my earplugs out for a second because I thought the song was over. 10/10 my ears are still ringing.

The best part of the tour for me was that my best friend, who isn’t into Kpop, wanted to go to the LA concert with me. And he went with me at 5 am and waited all that time and saw them with me. He expressed he knew how important Dreamcatcher is to me and wanted to see why; and of course he does enjoy their music now. It’s just a personal thing for me really. Besides the fact that Dreamcatcher put on an amazing show as always and made us Insomnia feel close.

That’s sweet of your friend. I got my cousin to go with me since my sister couldn’t go anymore and I needed an extra driver since the drive was almost 8 hours to the Reading venue. She only listens to boy groups and has only been to boy group concerts. Dreamcatcher was her very first girl group concert. She knows of them but doesn’t listen to their music. She loved how chilled and cool the girls were. Definitely loved their outfits. My fellow insomnias, she loved how sweet you all were towards her too. She has never interacted with so many people at a concert before. Thank you to Dreamcatcher for giving us an awesome experience and thank you to my fellow insomnias for being so kind and welcoming.
