#Paramore

Give it a few years
You will love after laughter
i promise you
Same for self titled
theyre my fave paramore albums now too
eh
reverse in my case
i loved al at first, second only to bne now its last by a landslide
uhhh riot is my favorite album
then awkif
then bne
then after laughter
i really like the songs in al just pop isn't really my thing
I'm going through a punk-only phase rn
and then I like a few specific songs in self titled like aint it fun and still into you and maybe a few others (but I prolly wouldn't listen to them on my own time) but other than that, it's prolly my least favorite album
It's not bad just not my favorite
Not my kinda music
anyway paramore best punk band tied wit green day
I didnt really enjoy AL, but I absolutely adore the self titled, something about all of the songs just sound great
I like BNE but some songs on the album kinda blend together
i really liked bne cuz all the songs in it sounded like REALLY badass
great for like working out n shi
The band shared this snippet of a new song on their Discord server!
It seems more rock oriented this time around
Awesome, new music
new song is coming out the 28th apparently

honest opinion?
love this band to death but it kinda blows
there's no power in the vocals
like compare first verse to something like ignorance
at least al had some of that old kick to it, but now it's totally gone
tried to let it grow on me, just cant
maybe the genre isn't for me but suddenly i appreciate st and al more
I think its pretty good a song but it just doesnt scratch the paramore itch
i liked the song but the chorus felt like something was missing to me personally
honestly didnt like it but ive never really been a paramore fan after self titled so
Damn am I the only one who really liked this?
I thought it was a minor return to form kinda
listen to it ten times in a row and it'll grow on you
i missed like 10 minutes of chemistry so i could listen to it and i was like "damn idk if that was worth it"
but i've listened to it many times since
and it's grown on me
it's just one of those songs that takes a minute yk
don't they already play it live?
like i thought they already brought it back
i was so confused by this
probably talking about the thing with billie eilish or whatever
i thought it was stupid that they didnt play it for a long time
i'm getting a weird sense of nostalgia listening to After Laughter and the self titled album
Decode is there best song
alright well
ive never liked paramore tbh
Like it's just never been my thing
I decided id check out the album just cause and
halfway through and
welp
ngl first 3 tracks gave high expectactions
rest of album didnt live up to imo
But its still good ig
I like the new album
i cant stand anything except title track and running out of time đ§ââď¸
the riot + bne + self titled stan in me is sobbing
I disagree
this aged... poorly. on the panic side of things at least
real
actually the news is good
actually i haven't listened to running out of time
i really haven't listened to many of the tracks on the new album
i stopped listening to them after c'est comme ca
i was able to tolerate the first two but even those were kinda meh, but ccc was straight up just bad imo
cest comme ca angers me irrationally
so i just stopped listening to them. sad shit
I think the album is a strong 9/10 and in contention as one of their best
ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
WOW
what a take
fair enough
maybe i will warm up later on but of my bottom 5 paramore songs new album has four of them
I've always enjoyed the pop-punk sound and never been too attached to it and I'm cool with bands changing their sounds
people assume this is why haters just want them to play pop punk
i prefer self titled over riot
I don't really think it's that much of a hot take
me personally i cant stand the production on half the songs
if they wanna go indie rock thats cool
i still have 5.5 albums worth of music
i just don't know how it can be considered BETTER than some of their other albums
^^
I think BNE is still king at the moment
like riot imo is an arguably perfect album
one of the best of the 2000s
shoulda gotten more attention
should be up there with the likes of hybrid theory and american idiot
and after laughter is a "must-hear" on albumoftheyear.org
same with self titled i believe
But with Riot's somewhat dated production (in my opinion) and self titled being a bit bloated and me just enjoying a more guitar driven sound than After Laughter, yeah This Is Why probably slots in at number 2 right now
honestly production has never been a big factor of criticism for me but i get that
self titled i never really loved but i can see the quality
and after laughter, i love, but i kind of have to listen to it on its own to enjoy it
like i'm not a huge pop person
so while it is good it's just not going on any playlists, i have to listen to the album itself
I can see that
I think This Is Why excels in the lyric areas more than previous projects as well
Songs like Thick Skull and The News have great, insightful lyrics
i never really got into their new style much, the only reason i even try to keep up with them is because self-titled is decently nostalgic to me
this is why is really good
crave means a lot to me
riot is a great album i agree
after 3 months i dont hate cest comme ca as much anymore
my least favourite is now thick skull
i-
i find this is why really beautifully made
crave and you first are so good
maybe cuz im just getting into paramore and this is why is the first paramore album ive listened to full-length
/
lmao
DIDNT EVEN REALIZE THERES A PARAMORE THREAD
my all time fav song is conspiracy đ
DOUBLE GRAMMY
paramoreâŚ.. or paraless
paramore is a real unique band
the main singers a woman
probably the most unique thing
but its a good band
Bruh. The Cranberries also has a singer woman
I know itâs out of topic so Iâll stop here
Every picture I see of the cranberries I never see a woman lolâ ď¸
Iâll listen to em
me like paramore
me too
Pramammaroe
i am confusion
I am home, paramore/ green day fans, finally
Pictures that are up in my room and my homemade riot cd
the cd is so cool, paramore is lit đĽ
I always make my own CDs, 100 blank CDs for the price of two music CDs
dolores o'riordan (RIP) has short hair so that's probably why
when i listen to a song tho its a diff story
trick question none of them are, in fact we are all scizophrenic and paramore doesnt even exist its just a figment of all of our dreams
omg its the mythbusters crew!
take me back to my preteen bedroom. why was I stupid enough to give my cool posters away?!?!!!!
love paramore
Mines Brand new eyes
Ayyyyyyy, I also love their self titled record, very weezer oriented. đ
Thatâs probably my least favourite personally, again has some hits. I donât particularly dislike any songs off of it, itâs just slightly generic and also there is quite a lot of filler, especially with the interludes. Still a good album, but the weakest for me by a mile.
Not even comparable tbh
I can see the point of view
After laughter is my least favorite actually
Used to be my least favourite, but thatâs grown on me a lot since listening to it a lot
- Brand New Eyes (Easy 10 IMO)
- Self titled (10/10)
- Riot (9/10)
- AWKIF(9/10)
- This Is Why (8/10)
- after laughter (6/10)
The self titled is definitely a hit or miss by them. Same with after laughter. Self titled is their most rebellious effort, college kids making music type of album xd
If anything its undergrown me alot over the last couple of years
I do not remember asking âtbhâ
Hereâs my ratings of the album
Youâre on Discord I can give my opinion lmao
Let me explain this one
Still into you 5/10đđ man i agree so hard that song is hella overplayed
I just think it adds to the filler of the album, doesnât need to be nearly 8 minutes and I donât like how itâs just an instrumental for the most part, I do like the instrumental. But I miss Hayleyâs vocals đ˘
Ahhhh i think I understand
Youre not into post rock oriented instrumentals
Do you like metal instrumental songs?
Not really tbh
Not my thing
Understandable, was also the same for a while
Future is my favorite paramore song studio albums wise actually.
Part ii aswell
I freaking love Part II
My top 3 are part ii future and last hope
That exact order actually i forgot that i absolutely love part II more than future
Last Hope is easily my favourite from the album, also a contender for my favourite song from the band
Its one of their best songs thats for sure
What are your opinions on deluxe tracks
Donât listen to them that much
Might occasionally stick on a Red Rocks live recording but other than that, donât listen to the studio tracks for the deluxe
I listen to flames part ii live only
Not a live tracks person
How long you been a paramore fan?
Tbf, not that long. Only since June really, I have listened to a few tracks from them before that, first being in 2021 where a friend introduced me to We Are Broken, then a year or two later I was introduced to Misery Business and Decode. But didnât start delving into their discography until June this year.
First and only band I have listened to all their studio albums.
Same thing with me actually. I was a casual listener since 2016 id say. Dove into their discography in 2023
Wow thats insane
Paramore are worthy of that title tho
Yeah, they are insane. Honestly canât wait until they end their break tbh, Hayleyâs currently busy with Power Snatch and her solo tour, but hopefully when that is out the way we can get some work on new music.
I dont know if this is a hot take or not but im not a fan of her solo stuff aside from a couple of songs on petals
Mirtzapine was awesome
Parachute also
But other than that her ego album was forgettable to me
Honestly, I love her new album. But wasnât a fan of Petals for Armour or Flowers For Vases, but again only listened to them once and been dying to listen to them again.
Id love to see paramore themselves experiment honestly
Id kill for an electronic rock album
After laughter is the closest they got to weirdness but that album is their most polished
Eh, personally I either wanna see a more indie inspired record or maybe even a concept album or rock opera.
The band themselves said that they dont see themselves doing a concept album
But a rock oprea sounds awesome
When was that
Self titled interview i believe
Or maybe i got them mixed up
No idea im sure it was paramore tho
I also see them going full hardcore mode
I remember an interview before Paramore went on break, they where planning on making a sequel album to Brand New Eyes, iâm kinda gutted we never got that. But again, Ego Death did slap so I ainât that mad.
Wasnt bne a sequel to riot?
Ngl iâm not too sure
I believe that sequel ended up being the singles ep
(Which speaking of , monster is my favorite paramore song of all time)
Thatâs my favourite too lol
Great minds think alike
Exactly
I freaking love Monster
That music video too man
Yeah, probably in my Top 5 favourite Paramore music videos
I honestly believe its too worthy to be on an ep
Im trying to remember their music videos
Wasnât it on the Transformers soundtrack aswell
Favourite music video for me will always be The Only Exception
Think that might be mine too
Nope actually
Now takes the spot
Havenât watched that one, but will do at some point
I watched the movie just to hear the song in action
Iâm just not a music video guy tbh
Yeah
Running out of Time music video is also another good one
Crushcrushcrush aswell
Was that the one where they went into a weird land and shit?
Didnt see that one actually
Crushcrushcrush used to be my favourite Paramore song until I listened to Monster
Im very sad to say that i found monster very later on to my paramore career
I think i listened to it the first time in the summer of 2023
It was my top song of that year actually
It is. Though i dislike mourning
I like the song personally
Sorry im just not into folky shit
Renegade is awesome
Cold world was awesome aswell
I remember watching a live performance of that where they mix the track with Landslide
Oh also an unpopular opinion
Really good
I have never watched a paramore live show on youtube aside from the itunes thing from 2013 actually
I honestly donât agree with that at all, probably my least favourite off of the album. But I can understand why people like that
The only two Paramore live performances I have watched in full are Reading Festival 2014 and Bonaroo 2023
I just get way to jealous when watching full concerts of Paramore
The instrumentals on there are god tier. It was also a great way to begin this is why
Tell me about it. They havent even set near 500 kms of where i live
Yeah, last time Paramore played near me it was the Eras Tour. Which now as much as I hate Taylor Swiftâs music, I wouldâve went too just to see Paramore
Id honestly see paramore and leave
Exactly
But I remember the tickets being like over 2000 bucks
My friend actually did that
He saw paramore in milan and left
Damn
Its better than sitting for 2 hours watching a 35 year old woman lip sync to songs about her exes all day đ¤Śââď¸
Tbf whenever Paramore tour the UK, they always play within 2 hours near me. So next time they come around I ainât holding back since I will probably be old enough to travel there when they tour again next.
Great
My biggest dream was to see them during the self titled tour
The live setting sounds so muxh better on the album
I wish they did a final riot version of self titled
I wouldâve loved that one too, I think the setlist aswell was great. That was before they started retiring tracks from Riot aswell
Tbf wouldâve loved to go to one of the Parahoys
After laughter aswell is so so muchbetter in a live setting
My friends older brother went to parahoy 14
Dude got to see future live
Still jealous of him to be honest
I would be too tbh
I hope they do another Parahoy when they come back, but I donât see it happening personally
Honestly the world is too depressed
I dont know how to explain it
But everything about concerts died hard after covid
Bad for the environment, wouldnât be able to fund it because they arenât signed to a major label anymore and itâs just not sustainable.
Ooh shit i forget that theyre indie sometimes
I dont see 7more till 2028 tho honestly
Its crazy how they only have 6 albums after being in the industry for over 20 years now
Depends what happens, I think 2027 is a possibility. Just depends if Hayley and James do a Power Snatch tour aswell, if so then weâll be waiting a while for 7more
Yeah, itâs probably because the amount of breaks and issues Paramore have had over the years
For an ep?
I blame the label if anything
Depends, I can see Power Snatch releasing some more stuff aswell when they have more material.
I remember seeing an interview where Hayley says âi want to be in a million bandsâ
Yeah, I think thatâs another thing that could delay Paramoreâs return. But iâm excited for anything Hayley does, sheâs talented and I think her building her music portfolio outside of Paramore is great aswell
I just realized. Paramore has never had any collaborations
They have, the Re: This Is Why album and Hate To See Your Heart Break with Joy Williams.
The latter is beautiful btw
But those are remixes and deluxe tracks
Slightly outdated but here is my tier list on every Paramore song
fences and future gotta be higher in my opinion but i respect the list good job
future tho i love that song favorite from paramore
Yeah fair enough, I understand why people love it but i'm just not a fan
Isn't my vibe
Not bad, i agree CCC is horrible. Monster s tier is amazing
Ayyy its my favorite paramore album song
literally perfect
still into you is good itâs just overplayed and a bit over hyped
a tier is literally perfect tho
Iâve just never been a fine of the song in general, cheesy, corny and just feels like the band trying too hard to get on the radio
I donât hate the song, itâs just not really for me
Itâs immature but damn if it doesnt sound great
real
Decided to relisten to all their albums, heres my listđ
- Brand New Eyes (10/10)
- Self Titled (9.5/10)
- All we know is falling (9/10)
- Riot (8.5/10)
- This Is Why (7/10)
- After laughter (4/10, geez this album is bad..)
My personal ranking
- Brand New Eyes 9/10
- Riot 8.1/10
- This Is Why 8/10
- After Laughter 8/10
- All We Know Is Falling 7.8/10
- Self Titled 7.7/10
Not bad, I disagree wholeheartedly with everything except brand new eyes but after all, music is subjective
We gotta have a Paramore thread too
Personally my favorite of their albums is the self titled one
I liked riot
Just the 1st 3 albums are good
i can tolerate self titled but not after laughter
no way
after laughter is a good pop album
and self titled is better than their first 3
i like bands like paramore when they were more pop punk and less pop
i respect your opinion, it's just records like mania, after laughter, and pray for the wicked just makes it seem like the bands are desperate after they blew up after changing once
I don't think pray for the wicked came from desperation, I think brendon urie just always wanted to push the band in a more pop direction which is why everyone else left
and with after laughter I'm not sure why they went that way because it did well chart-wise and had great critical reception, and yet they're supposedly going for their earlier sound again on their forthcoming album
mania's just a mess though, I get where you're coming from with that one
maybe i need to listen to them more but that's just my opinion because all bands were freaking awesome in the early 2000s and not hearing music like that again kind of sucks
it looks like both panic and paramore are going back to their old sound in the future
you should
I'm going to bed, and I've never been a big panic fan but maybe
i haven't listened to any of paramore's stuff
i've been meaning to listen to riot for a while though
and maybe bne
i recommend the self titled over brand new eyes
the whole thing is energetic
nice
the intro has a real catchy chorus
the drumming is pretty exceptional on this
I do think the self titled might be too long though
it really could stand to be shorter than an hour
yesss finally a paramore thread
brick by boring brick is my favourite cause it's a real mood
imo bne > riot
josh farro may not be a great person but his influence on the band was simply exceptional
after laughter is a jump and a half, don't go there until you've tried self titled
what awkif is for paramore is like what bullets and TTTYG are for mcr and fall out boy
i love the self titled
my ranking would go like
self titled > brand new eyes > all we know is falling > riot! > after laughter
i liked after laughter but i didn't like certain songs on the album
i found the singles pretty enjoyable
i would swap riot with bne
i could agree with that
i fell out of love with al super quickly, now i just listen to rose coloured boy and caught in the middle
i listened to riot last night
i thought it was good but some songs didnât really click with me
that's my experience with it too
i love fences
it has a great bassline
im gonna listen to bne now cause im bored
brick by boring brick is my new favorite paramore song
đ¤
glad you liked it
operatic and so so edgy
and the little "you'll be better off without meeeee" at the end
you can't hear it in one of the earbuds
yes
its subtle but wow
I like it but Iâve heard it so many times itâs hard to enjoy it
oh i have mono audio on i didn't notice that
lol
this is my first time hearing it so i absolutely love it
this is my first time hearing any paramore song
im already liking bne more than riot even though im on the 5th song
it feels a lot more mature than riot
it definitely is
imo the best part is the first four tracks but the whole album is quite a gem
playing god and ignorance are great middle grounds between bne and riot, has the sound of the former but keeps the edgy petty twang of the latter
very well balanced
careful is a headbanger and a half
good choice of singles from them here
yes
riot had like a childishness that made me not like it as much as i would (i still like it don't get me wrong)
bne got rid of that
im very happy
the only exception was beautiful
holy shit all i wanted is fucking incredible
yeah bne is way better than riot
i love it
Riot > After Laughter > All We Know Is Falling > Self-Titled > Brand New Eyes
My hot take
Although honestly the middle three are kinda interchangeable
I need to listen to self-titled more. I feel like I should like it a lot more, but it just hasn't clicked for me yet.
I feel like it comes down to personal preference since they're all pretty good
Very true
it didnt click with me for a while either
a few of the songs havent aged as well as others but that can be said about a lot of music
i prefer the first half of the album to the second half though
fast in my car is probably my favorite album opener of all time
decode is a really cool song
yes it is
same, feel like they just got lazy with lyrics on the second half
one of those crazy girls and be alone
personally proof is the last song by tracklist worth listening to
nah future is a great closer
still holds up as third in my book
they did however create my favourite song of all time
which one
is it thats what you get
brick by boring brick
some of the lyrics have not aged well
i really like grow up and fast in my car
fast in my car is my favorite song of all time personally
for sure
all we know is falling has an ugly album cover
i kinda like it, but its probably their worst album cover
bne and al are probably the best album covers
i like their self titled cover quite a lot
i think the riot cover is ok
definitely iconic
but extremely simple
finally getting around to listening to the self titled
intro track sounds very promising
Fast in my car is my favorite song of all time
some parts of it were good but others i didn't like as much
fast in my car and anklebiters were def my favs
i also enjoyed now, (one of those) crazy girls, and proof a good deal
i love grow up and part II
part II i liked grow up i had mixed feelings on
part II is a sequel to let the flames begin from RIOT!
oh thats what it was a sequel to
i knew it was a sequel to something but i forgot what
self titled is a bazillion things crush(crushcrush
)ed into one
imo very hard to enjoy every single track but still a solid album
ok i finally listened to every paramore album so heres my ranking
brand new eyes > riot > after laughter > self titled = all we know is falling
i can't decide if i like awkif or self titled more
also favorite songs off each album thingy
awkif: conspiracy, franklin, whoa
riot: fences, for a pessimist i'm pretty optimistic, that's what you get
brand new eyes: all i wanted, brick by boring brick, misguided ghosts, ignorance, careful
self titled: anklebiters, fast in my car, (one of those) crazy girls
after laughter: pool, grudges, 26, rose colored boy
no offense but i hate you
i will not allow this self titled slander to continue
i like it but there are some cuts that just don't make the mark
also it's just too long
i think the self titled is for a specific kind of person
im not that kind of person
self titled is way too much of a genre change
it's not completely terrible but it doesn't compare to their 1st 3 albums imo
based
happy birthday riot
Happy birthday riot
belated but yes happy birthday
i think all i wanted might be my favorite paramore song
such an epic closer and an amazing song
It's very good
That "2-3-4!" in crushcrushcrush đł
Probably my favorite part
