For the maggots of the sub, this amazing show from 2000 surfaced today!
Amazing soundboard quality
A bunch of shit came out today HOLY
Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan are the metal masterminds behind the band Slipknot. But today these bandmates have two choices: Tell the truth, or suffer the wrath of the Last Dab. Whoever eats the most wings, loses!
From Corey's favorite musical, to Clown’s true feeling about other masked musicians, these friends will either need to be h...
kinda slipknot related, for my final piece for art i got sheet music for dead memories in the background lmao
pink pony club
I need to get into slipknot
I wanna just say, Joey is fucking awesome, and whenever I feel discouraged as drummer, anytime I hear his playing (especially on blister or left behind) he always inspires me to play
Rest in peace you fucking legend
its the only thing
that slowly stops the ache
Slipknot is my favorite metal band🥹
x2
how are you alive
Peak album
great stuff
piastry fan 💔
Watching the Unsainted music video, I wish Squid Game was based on Slipknot and these were the guards, or at least it would be nice for something similar
Just a random thought
Joey mask anyone? 👀
One of my favorite metal bands
i'll start
most underrated from each album
self titled: diluted
iowa: my plague
vol.3: welcome/the nameless
AHIG: this cold black
.5 gray chapter: nomadic or override
WANYK: red flag
I was listening to music while making dinner last night and when slipknot came on my mom said it was “giving her anxiety” so i think that means its good
my friend likes slipknot a lot so i started listening to them some
i never would've thought i'd be a fan of this band tbh, but im glad i was
vol.3 ranked (hard btw)
- Duality - iconic and goated
- Before i forget - it's literally impossible to hate this song if you like metal
- Pulse of the maggots - this is a live ANTHEM with a dope ass beginning/solo
- The Nameless - love the contrast on this song, very underrated (corey's voice slaps+sid doing dj)
- The Blister Exists - good beginning, marching drum, chorus, EVERYTHING
- Vermilion - dope lyrics and vocals, everyone loves this one
- Circle - a very underrated acoustic song, that chorus is so good
- Don't Get Close - nice riff, good to listen to when pissed and you need space
- Three Nil - freaking love the vocals here, nothing too extraordinary but it doesn't need that
- Welcome - underrated riff, overall good song but nothing jaw dropping
- Vermilion pt.2 (Still goated) - a dope acoustic song, it slaps but doesn't have the energy of the other one
- Prelude 3.0 - love this intro, dark but hopeful in a way representing the band's state
- Opium of the people - nice riff, and corey's vocals are awesome
- Scream - good deluxe track (not gonna lie i barely remember this one)
- Danger - Keep away - a weird, creepy way to end the album, too short imo, but also pretty good
- Virus of life - despite the message, i find this song to be boring (not too bad tho)
i haven’t listened to that, only some of the debut and iowa
i might listen to more of their stuff this weekend
imma try to if i can but idk
https://open.spotify.com/track/2vPZ4Lklyu75zBR3SgbFNI?si=a49e13b1bdb64e17 one of my favorites
Worst to best:
6. .5 grey chapter - There's good writing and production, and it's good the band was writing these songs without tension, but it's not the same without joey (even though this album is solid)
5. We are not your kind - Kind of an edgier sound compared to Grey chapter, a lot of heavier songs, and a lot of bangers (mainly solway firth)
4. Iowa - This album is heavy and pretty much flawless, but it's not my style/my personal taste
3. All hope is gone - Why do I have to call this album underrated, it's actually good despite the simplicity and mainstream elements in it (The singles are great and so is gematria and everything else basically)
2. Self titled - Great nu metal record with a lot of badass meaning behind each song
- Vol.3 subliminal verses - I chose this because it's the style of slipknot I like best. All their albums are nearing perfection but this sound appeals to me most. It's got nice riffs and vocals and stuff (kind of like maturing from their debut sound)
I LOVE SLIPKNOT
Yes SLIPKNOT is the first metal band I listened to 😭
Iowa
perhaps
gonna listen to gray chapter
ik it's a weird pick for 2nd full album but here goes
holy shit that was way better than i thought it would be
alright been a week since i listened to .5 so imma rank it either today or tomorrow
this will be hard but whatever
- Sarcastrophe - I think the only reason this one is #1 is because XIX sets it up so damn well, it's the same vibe as #2 just slightly better imo
- The negative one - heavy and badass with outstanding work from all band members
- AOV - another heavy, contrasting song that's an absolute banger
- Killpop - A sad, jaw-dropping song that people shit on because it got popular, completely ignoring the amazing lyrics and dope ass solo
- Devil in I - One of their biggest songs, and it definitely grew on me
- Nomadic - very good chorus, solo, and basically everything
- Custer - One of those live anthems they have
- Skeptic - "PISSED!", yeah the vocals on this one are awesome and give off a halloween vibe
- Lech - Underrated, don't remember much but definitely good
- Override - Very strong chorus, the rest isn't as good but this song is still underrated af
- The One that Kills the least - solid vocals and everything, but nothing crazy
- Goodbye - Amazing tribute to Paul, that's all I can really say, it goes hard
- XIX - I don't care what anyone says this is the best prelude the band has done (i have heard them all)
- If Rain is what you want - A nice ballad at the end, i cant really say anything cuz it's nothing different or refreshing i guess
- The Burden - I DO NOT hate this song, just kind of less memorable
- Be prepared for hell - just a dark, creepy interlude that goes into negative one well (unfair to put anything higher)
new song yay
