  2. Surfer Rosa
  3. Bossanova

also their post reunion stuff is all bad

#

kind of just the way of every reformed cult band

#

like the stooges

#

to me the stooges had a perfect 3 album run, Stooges (which combined garage and psychedelia with aggression), Fun House (which is a post-punk record before punk rock was a thing), and Raw Power (which set up the game plan for punk rock, which turned into indie, post-punk, new wave, and alt)

#

i dont consider The Weirdness and Ready to Die stooges albums most of the time because they do nothing but taint an otherwise perfect discography

#

as in they were great for like 4 years then sucked absolute ass after

#

the only time a classic stooges song doesnt seem as good is because the other tracks on the album set a higher bar (the first 3 tracks off of raw power)

#

fun house basically leaps over its own hurdles every single time

#

then you have the 2 shit cash in albums

#

fun!

#

no fun my babe no fun -iggy pop probably

#

also a billion garage bands because i bet that song has been covered by almost every garage band in existence

#

ditto for i wanna be your dog and search and destroy

#

now that i think about it fun house has no definitive track because it's that consistent in quality

Doolittle is one of my favorite albums since I listened to it a few weeks ago

#

haven’t listened to much other stuff but I know a few tracks from surfer Rosa

takes a few tracks until it clicks but after it clicks it's one of the best things you've ever heard
