Yes but Fab :D

Selfless
Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus
At The Door
Why Are Sundays So Depressing
Not The Same Anymore
Ode To The Mets â
STROKES CHANNEL
Strokes
i like you're so right
I dont
Imma just list my favorite from each one
Hard To Explain
Automatic Stop
Ize Of The World
Taken For A Fool
Tap Out/CIFCIK
Why Are Sundays So Depressing
How bouta
This
- Ode To The Mets
- Why Are Sundays So Depressing
- The Adults Are Talking
- Selfless
- Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus
- At The Door
- Not The Same Anymore
- Bad Decisions
- Eternal Summer
Whatever I put at the bottom somebody was gonna complain
So Eternal Summer
But that's The New Abnormal
Ode To The Mets is their greatest song ever
And many people agree with that
But maybe the awesomeness and fun of their older popular stuff can be considered greater to others
Threat Of Joy > Meet Me In The Bathroom
So much better
More fun and artistic, better length and especially better lyrics
The lyrics from MMITB are terrible when converted into a lyrics format for a song rather than being words on paper
Thats why I think its the lowest tier song on Room On Fire
i just got is this it on cddddd, been looking for monthsssss
Fire
Funny thing I was looking for either Green Day or the arctic monkeys because I didnât expect there to be anything from the strokes, but I got lucky
It takes time
Eventually youâll be able to understand Julian through that radio ahh mic filter
What happened to the logo
Was this AI or a photoshop project
Did the lasso tool give you a hard time
Fire but I canât play any of their songs
How come
they made is this it (crazy)
i really like the strokes
my mom got me hooked on them when she played reptilia a bunch in the car
My ex best friend got me into them
TNA=ITI>FPP>FIOE>ROF>CDM>Angles
tna and iti are tied for like very different reasons
tna for musical maturity, cohesion, and the lack of filler
iti for the young, sleepy garagey bliss
ROF>ITI>FIOE>TNA>CDM>FPP>angles
understandable
for me fpp is so high cause no filler
fioe i like the style
it is a 4 song ep so it makes sense theres no filler
rof was good but is a repeat of iti somtimes
imo rof just improved on what iti was doing
cdm was just a kind of failed attempt at new wave, same with angles
i wouldnt say theres a bad strokes record though
rof was the start of the problem with strokes albums having too many forgettable songs
it had some forgettable songs but so did iti imo
also iti has hard to explain
you have a point
eh not really
but rof has reptilia and the way it is
take it or leave it isnt as good and im not that big on the modern age but everything else is essential
iti has soma and someday
i still cant remember soma, trying your luck, and a few others
plus title track
i honestly cant remember trying your luck
or most of the latter half of rof
rof and iti are near identical in quality for me but rof edges iti out slightly
rof just kind of also lacks the dreamy bliss parts of iti
kinda
i think cdm has some pretty underrated songs though
partners in crime is top tier
yeah
and even then its more unneeded than bad
also i will never stop talking about on the other side bassline
i love how tap out opens with guitar then goes into talking heads-esque beats
also juicebox is a top 5 strokes song
i also love i cant win
i haven't listened to i cant win in a while
lemme relisten rq
also the end has no end
that one is amazing
oh it's this one
now i remember the whole song
lol
1: hard to explain
2: the adults are talking
3: juicebox
4: is this it
5: ode to the mets
mk lemme try and make mine
hard to explain is somehow relatable despite me having no fucking idea what it means
- reptilia
- the adults are talking
- hard to explain
- new york city cops
- is this it
thats a really janky list and i probably will want to change it soon but
whatever
based
on the hard to explain single on apple music new york city cops has the star because you cant get it anywhere else
i'd rather make a top 10
i'll just add on in a different post
- the way it is
- i can't win
- take it or leave it
- someday
- 12:51
wow that is a lot of rof
rof is my favorite
my list is mainly dominated by ITI and TNA
tna was good but i like the style of rof and iti more
tna was a lot more longer and more mellow
i like the song length
sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
every song feels essential unlike ROF-CDM where on every album there are just songs you forget about
like on the adults are talking or ode to the mets
yeah i like the length
but on tracks like eternal summer
eeeehhhhh
not as much
my least fav is definitely eternal summer
im also not big on selfless or at the door
i do like bad decisions and why are sundays so depressing though
then the others (excluding the adults are talking and ode to the mets) are decent or good
like i said adults are talking & ode to the mets are the best ones off tna
at the door was a nice change of pace
wouldnt consider it synth-pop though, a bit too fucked-up for that
something i've always liked about the strokes are their cover art
like tna and rof have stellar covers
true
only strokes cover im not a fan of is the knee cover for iti
doesnt reflect the album
you think it's a knee?
it's an ass my friend
the hand is too big for it to be an ass
maybe they had a small ass
da strokes
so true
false
so false worstie
uhh uhh fioe underrated
hard to explain is now my go-to emotional song
strokes have never been an emotional band for me
they've always been the band to dance to for me
hard to explain is just kind of that type of song
plus lyrically its like stairway to heaven
idk what the fuck it means but goddamn those are some nice lyrics
hard to explain has always been a prime "dance your heart out at 11 pm at night" song for me
if i had to pick a song that was more on the emotional song
maybe the end has no end
my dance band is uhhhh
yeah i dont know
probably deep purple's first 3 albums
other than the strokes im not too sure
maybe operation ivy?
not too sure about that though
me when not the same anymrore
i never listen to that song lmao
its one of the few great tracks off the album
adults are talking & ode to the mets are the crown jewels of tna for me
that and not the same anymoree
i also really like bad decisions and sundays
tna is their best album tied with iti
rof supremacy for life
rof is slightly worse iti
me who actually thinks its comedown machine
well damn thats a hot take
TNA=ITI>FPP>FIOE>ROF>CDM>Angles
note: all of these have strokes classics
uh yea
- comedown machine - 8.9/10
- room on fire - 8.8/10
- is this it - 8.2/10
- first impressions of earth - 7.4/10
- the new abnormal - 6.7/10
- angles - 4.5/10
- room on fire - 8.8/10
- is this it - 8.2/10
- first impressions of earth - 7.6/10
- the new abnormal - 7.3/10
- comedown machine - 7/10
- angles - 5.3/10
That shit is too curved to be a knee
what the fuck
in no way is tna a 6.7/10
