Yeah it definitely starts slow, but I get why they did it. It makes it easier to kind of understand their mindset, dealing with being lonely travelers. Makes it that much more impactful when you do meet good people along the way.

Episode 2 is a bit slow too but Episodes 3-5 are pretty intense.

Yeah, she was extra annoying in that movie. I know she was always on the shallow side, but idk if it's just because it's the first DB thing I've watched in literal ages and just don't remember it well or what but...they just made her straight up dumb. Bulma might be shallow, but I remember her being level headed and intelligent in moments of crisis. Using the dragon balls for petty wishes when there's not a crisis? Yeah, that tracks. But neither Piccolo nor Bulma thinking what else they could wish for, and Bulma wasting the wishes like that was infuriating.
