If you’re totally lost, just go to the Wikipedia article for your day and look through the births, there should be a few musicians in there.

So I found an artist that shares the same birth month and day as I do (I had no idea that this particular artist and I shared a birthday) and it's an artist that I love... and now the struggle is picking just one song... because so many of this artist's songs are like... ICONIC and so fucking good... How do I pick just one??? wah lol

Please read all the info available to you before submitting, I tried to be super clear about what's required with this theme but I still got a few people knowingly submitting artists that are born in the same month, or within a week, etc.

I know it makes it easier to choose someone you already like but then it's kind of unfair compared to people who put time in to find and choose an artist that meets all the requirements. If you've gotta go outside your comfort zone and find something new, that's kinda the point

I don't check these until the day of pretty much every time, so when I tell people their submission doesn't work it's gonna come with minimal time to fix it. If you're not sure something fits, please ask me directly instead of just submitting it and hoping it works.

Birthday: I share a July 14th birthday with the late Bob Casale, founding member and former rhythm guitarist of the iconic new wave band, DEVO.
Comment: I almost went with Tenacious D, because I also share my birthday with Jack Black's partner in crime so to speak, Kyle Gass They're just way too comedic and I can't take too many of their songs seriously as music. The DEVO songs i listened to spoke to me way more, and I absolutely love this song from their 1984 album Shout. I knew DEVO would be up my alley cause my mom introduced me to alot of 80s new wave bands when i was younger, just not this one! Plus i always make sure to try a deeper cut and im glad i found a great one
