Just a simple quick red x is all I ask, I’m tired of missing kills because I switched targets too quickly. I can barely notice the kill notification on easy kills, much less in chaotic gunfights.

Not to mention the current notif (tango down / wasted) is most of the time of no use because of its contrast

There is a dink sound for headshots thats it

Technically people do flash red for 1 frame when you kill them

They flash white on any non kill damage

It just feels very janky and the amount of times Ive seen a flash and dealt no damage (mainly shotguns with the doodoo caca netcode) just makes me miserable

Yeah unfortunately the hit effects/blood and flashing are from the server side hit detection and not from the client side like the hit sounds which is what the game uses to decide damage

There is NO downside to a Visual kill confirmation if they just make it toggleable

i think it would also be VERY COOL if you could change it to your own kill sound like in tf2

Im inpartial, as long as it works better than the current system I don’t mind

Half the time I only notice I got a kill after Ive died and look over the kill feed

Im fine with no hit audio tho since wallbangs are very important

I can hear bozos in the vents and you can only crouch in them
