teleporting doesn't cause cooldown; it's your last action that does

If you haven't played for 2 hours you can log on, teleport anywhere, and catch something immediately. but if you catch something and then teleport, depending on distance it adds the cooldown

if you Google "pokemon go cooldown" you'll find a list of things that trigger it

a good way to farm candies is to just set a Pokemon as your buddy and have it autowalk from Stop to Stop

it's really easy to trigger double-hearts (and thus x2 candies) as such, if you just spin a new stop here or there, etc. while it walks and walks

To elaborate on cooldown, say you catch a Pokemon at 12:30 and do nothing, and you teleport at 1:15 to somewhere halfway across the world. The cooldown would automatically negate 45 minutes since you didn't do anything else
