Teleporting won't trigger it, you can hold Pokemon on catch screen for as long as you like and catch when CD timer is over

shundos you find by repeatedly click on hundo spawns over and over until it shines. For random shinies, with helpers like HAL, you can just walk around until something pops up. I mean... I get notified for like 7 randoms when I shundo hunt one single poke on average
