It's fine to catch them as budget attackers but honestly I wouldn't power them up past the caught level

Regular Machamp is just worse than Lucario, Conkeldurr and its own Shadow version

Check the top PvE attacker tier lists in any case, too much stuff for me to type in here. Groudon itself is also fine but it has solid competition as far as Grounds go. Excadrill and Landorus T have higher DPS while CD Garchomp is the overall best performer, just better than Groudon too
