Yes but the point is cp is a calculation of a pokemons iv, level and base stats. Searching for cp randomises all of the above, vs looking for high level high iv mons means you are always getting the highest CP

Please remember that pokemon can attack and knock off safari ball. They are not master ball. Lost two safari ball on attacking pokemon.
