You get hit with a 7 day, sometimes more than once if it's been a while in between.

You get hit with a 30, or banned outright,

Could be all 3 in succession, Niantic's "algorithm anti cheat" doesnt make sense but it does detect non native apps moreso than anything and it will hit them.

Maybe not right after you use them but a few weeks later...

I would only recommend if you are using it for a little bit and have not ever been hit prior, but that's still a risk. I started day 2 (7/7/2016) and I wouldn't risk it. But that's up to you.
