• once the pokemon spawned on the map move away from it until it despawns from you then change your pokemon buddy and move back to that pokemon location and this time it would spawn as Zorua on the map and not as transformed form
• change the pokemon buddy back to your previous pokemon until it also spawns on the map following you
  thats how I understood it from the Pinned instructions at least ...

You forgot to do something. Hence, I'm summarizing it for ya:

• Port to the Zorua. It will show up as your buddy.
• (This is the part you forgetting) Once it spawns, change your buddy to another one, and then walk away until you don't see the Zorua.
• Change back to your original buddy and then walk towards the Zorua. It will show up as the Zorua.

Again, it's in #tips_and_tricks with a graphic with Zorua 101 as its title.
