I have an account which has become lucky with my main about 5 times over the last one month and all my other accounts haven’t been lucky in over 2 months.

Click on your buddy, and click play! Button, once it’s comes out, instead of feeding it, you need to give it a rub on the head or the belly. Just a circular motion on the hit box of the pokemon for about 5-10s. You will notice the pokemon will do an animation and lights will surround it. That basically satisfies you playing with the Pokémon.

buddy candy can only be accumulated up to a maximum of 40km in the last 24 hours. This is a dynamic window, not based on the calendar day, so if you walk 40km between 2pm and 10pm on Monday, you won't be able to start racking up any candy again until 2pm on Tuesday.

Teleport alone does not cause cooldown. Learn more about cooldown triggers in #tips_and_tricks 'cooldown 101' post. If you have cooldown you hold the pokemon on the catch screen til cooldown time is over then catch
