In general I think 600 energy is good. Can have 2 Mega's for raids on consecutive days. If spaced out well, can use 2 multiple times a week

Don't actually need Mega's while spoofing most of the time though

Can be level 26 and piggyback off others

Mega's become only useful for grinding candy

The main issue is, most people only do mega for a couple of days and that's it

After one week, that mega never gets raided again

Yeah unfortunately primal is just mega so I am just grinding candies. Already spend enough early days to get the shundo so no need to raid too hard.

I do need hundos too. Have 96% kyogre and my groundon is bad. So might grind those. Old version sucked

I think the primal ones, goes to primal mode automatically once you used them for raids

No doubt it was costly. I have 2 lucky 98 shiny mew2 but no shundo. Probably settle with those as well.
