Let’s say you catch a Pokémon in NYC you are now locked to that area for 2hrs. Once you active cooldown a radius expands around you in which you can still do things like catching and spinning. If you leave this radius you can’t do those things. Cooldown times are how long until you are back inside that radius. So if you catch then tp to Zaragoza you can’t catch for the max time of 2hrs. But if you catch and spoof to another part of nyc it might only take 3 minutes to be inside it’s radius
