I feel like I've gotten a little better at this at least, but I find it a little difficult to not get really annoyed against characters I dislike playing against or games where I feel like I SHOULD have won had I not panicked/made too many mistakes

I hate Ranno a lot, so during the ras I won I switched to etalus for a game to mentally reset

#

I wasn’t going to beat onyx’s Ranno with my eta. But I got to play goofy, and that helped me level my head and get the reverse three 0

Try forcing yourself to say that you can win rather than that you should.

#

This longer version is copy/pasted from another conversation about mentality and improvement: […] stop yourself from saying and/or thinking anything to the effect of "I shouldn't be losing to them." Even the opposite of this is terrible. So nothing like "I can't fucking beat them. It's impossible." When you're able to tell yourself that you can win rather than those other things, you will have already done wonders for your mentality.

This, but also in a tournament setting it’s important to not take the outcome of the game as a definitive answer to if you performed good or bad. If you think about things such as how you played rather than what the end screen says then for me at least it’s much easier to take losing

Genuinely, the easiest way for me to take a loss is to realise that i was making mistakes

#

I try and use every loss to improve. I realise what i do wrong and change it up next time around so that i lose less

#

Winning shouldnt be the goal

#

It should be improvement
