#2d6 Dungeon!

i figured id start this. if other people have questions or start playing or have played etc, lets share adventures, maps etc etc.
Level 1, the story will resume just after we return from the town, ready to descend :) (adventurer is now level 2 :D)
A couple things Aavak. Reading a scroll is a 'magic' action and you actually have to make a roll to see if it works.
Remedies are not potions so containers need to be whatever logically would fit the item. balm, poltice etc etc.
Also, don't worry. Your reference to Cabal was not missed! ๐
Oh and as for the boss room, every other floor starting level 2. Check the Special Unique Rooms on page 16.
Cheers for the clarification!
Finally sat down the last few days to actually gather and read through everything to start dungeon delving. I only really had time to get a couple rooms in today, but I'm definitely looking forward to exploring bit by bit over the next while and seeing where the narrative of this adventure goes!
Our intrepid adventurer, Thargor, has another dungeon floor under his belt! Popped to level 4 and boy howdy does having one level 2 maneuver feel nice!
I have a question, so I picked up a holy shroud which gives you a quest to place it at a shrine or altar to the specific god and then subsequently found a shrine to that god, does that mean I can't make an offering here? The language confuses me a bit since it doesn't say to offer the shroud but rather just to place it.
It specifically says: "If you place this at a shrine or altar to that god you gain 2 FP for that god"
According to my interpritation of the rules, shrines/altars can only be 'used' once. In your example, i would think that placing the shroud IS the action. That being said, it's your game. If you don't like that rule, change it!
That is something that took me a bit to get pounded into my brain. Play the game YOU want to play the way YOU want to. The ultimate goal is to have fun! If your PC dies and you don't want to start over, fudge it. Say in a last ditch attempt the PC dodges or something. Its all up to you ๐
Fair enough, thank you! ๐
So I thought I'd try making quick 2-3 or so, sentence entries for each room I went through at the end of a session and doing so has been a lot more fun than I realized it would be! It's also helping cement the adventure in my head better than it otherwise would be. Provided I survive, I should be able to finish level 1 in one more good session.
Conquered the first level of the dungeon! Here's the minimap I drew while exploring and the more polished map I made afterwards while going through my notes (that one is made in dungeondraft)
lookin awesome
Made it through the first level intact, although it did come reeeeeeaaal close at one point. I made a few mistakes along the way through this level, but none that would have altered things too much I think. Lessons learned for the next level! I quite enjoyed this and especially after the first few rooms/combats when I started to understand the flow of the turns.
Poor Belial. Sitting on the sidelines as 2d6 dungeon has yet to return. ;D
Thargor goes home.
Found the vent on The Haunted and decided to incorporate Realm!
Trying something different with it and using a Boox Note Max to draw and have the ledger. So far so good.
Found a long stone fence with a burnt out building. In the rubble i found a sort of basement hole! (Love the BTHET name table lol.) I found a stash of the gilder hemp. On the way out i accidently broke out a Sealed Tomb and had a loooonng fight with a Furnicar!
This was only the first round! So much more to do.
Side note: I spent waay to dang long drawing the stone wall. I kept restarting it cause I didn't like the way it looked. Eventually I remember that it doesn't have to look nice to have fun!
Thargor works on his land.
After pausing for a bit, I've returned to the realm. Found a new cave and got attacked by a scary vean fray! I fought a level 7 since I thought i was 6. Nope. Only 5. I tell ya what, fighting a mob 2 levels higher is scary stuff. Used two large healing pots to survive. (Yes I know i could have fled, but Thargor is headstrong.)
He is NOW level 6 ๐
I found these little spin counters and am loving them to track health of both me and mobs. As well of other odds and ends.
*edit: I use counters from https://spincounters.ca/
Thargor returns to the dungeon.
After spending a few months above ground, Thargor was getting worried that the denizens of the dungeon would find their way to his homestead. Taking his trusty heavy mace "Muffin" he scampered back down the vent.
After a few trivial fights (he was stronger after all that building in the homestead), and some frustrating dead ends, he stumbled across a strange broken table. As soon as he entered he heard a Crack from above and found a stone slab trying to brain him! Thargor laughed heartedly as he swung Muffin, smashing the slab to bits. Once the dust cleared he noticed a portcullis in the wall. Seeing no lever on his side, he ended up tossing an old forged blade he picked up earlier in his travels.
At the end of a long corridor, came the stench of rotting corpses. Thargor neared the room and was greeted with a low, haunting growl. He raised an eyebrow. This was familar to him. A Zordian shade.
Grinning, Thargor jumped into the room swinging Muffin with reckless regard.
This caught the normally feared shade off guard allowing Thargor to repeated swing Muffin into the beats skull.
In the gory aftermath, Thargor stood. Bowing silently to the now quivering mass that was the shade, thanking it for a battle.
Wiping his hands on his spare jerkin, he let out a satisfied sigh and headed down the stairs.
Level 5 progress!
The beginning of my night and I was rolling like in the Pic.
First 6 rooms and no combat!
Things started to heat up though.
Finally started to get some combat. No XP gain with it all because pc is level 6 though.
One notable fight:
Ran into a poor SOB of a Basal Initiate.
My first round of combat saw me get an exact strike and took them down to 1hp. Bleeding and missing half their face, they failed to hit back.
Easily ending them with an aptly named "Blindside strike"
