A place to talk about Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus. And any others that might come about in the future.

A cafeteria room was recently added to Campus. In a free update, might I add. :3

I played quite alot of two point hospital on ps4, is a fun game but has a few difficulty spikes

Yeah, I've been stuck on Duckworth-Upon-Bilge, much to my chagrin.

I really need to get back into TPC again. I think I was stuck on one of the early levels, so I haven't had a chance to get round to some of the courses I was looking forward to.

I do wonder how Campus could potentially turn law school on it's head.

Probably have one of the class rooms spoof Ace Attorney.

Either after or when taking a break from drawing, I need to continue TPC. Last I left off, I was on the first level of the Medical School DLC.

I need to continue Campus. I want to clear the Medical School DLC levels before the possibility of more DLC comes along.

I'm loving the amount of decorations, and looks like with tanks we don't have to worry about the floor plan so we can go wild.

#

I wonder what other sections we have. So far I've seen prehistoric and marine, I wonder if they will also have sections like Romans, Native Americans, Industrial, War, Geology, etc.

#

Also, is it just me or does it look like the entrance is set up on a diagonal when they zoom out near the end? Also, diagonal flooring in the main hall.

wait did those turtles have roman shields as shells or just patterned after them?

Not sure, but knowing Two Point the answer is probably 'both'.

I'm wondering if one of the things we'll have to keep in mind is species compatability with other species, such as Fish A and Fish B can live happily in a tank together, but Fish C eats Fish A but is good with Fish B and Fish D, but Fish D eats the same food as Fish B so there would be more competition.

#

There could also differences in the water, such as salt or fresh, hot or cold, etc. We could get a better score for having a greater variety in one tank, which would get more donations.

That I feel is up in the air for now. Part of me wonders if that will matter much, given the silly nature of Two Point.

Just found this post by one of the Two Point team on the Steam discussions:

"Heyo, thanks for the excitement all!

To jump in on this, guests have a 'desire to stay' meter, it measures how long the guests's visit will be, and decays quicker if the guest is unhappy. (pls note we're still in dev so the names of things and actualities of these might change!)

If you've played previous titles, you'll be familiar with NPC needs, which are similar to before: thirst, hunger, bathroom, environment, entertainment and energy. So you'll need to meet these needs to keep guests happy, so they stay longer. 'Feelings' are back too, where a guest might get a buff or boon; they might get a buff to entertainment when they pass a clown, but then get grossed out by litter, decreasing their environment.

There's also a new thing called 'Buzz', which guests gain by viewing your exhibits. A few things tie into this, but you'll want a high Buzz rating alongside meeting guest needs as it means bigger donations and better museum ratings. And finally a knowledge rating, which effects ratings too.

Guests also have a 'log', which if you've played 'Theme' or tycoon games you'll be familiar with as it's similar! In the guest log you'll see things like 'saw an impressive dinosaur, wow!', it'll also inform you of things that upset your guest, like seeing a gross, smelly exhibit that hasn't been maintained. That way you can see what's affecting your guest's happiness and where they're picking up feelings or Buzz.

We do indeed have interactive displays, which you build in the new 'workshop' room. These are built by a janitor with the workshop qualification, and they're very important for entertainment, especially for children visiting your museum.

so the tl;dr: keep guests happy to lengthen their stay, a longer stay means higher Buzz and Knowledge - which affect donations and museum ratings!"

I'm really liking the sound of some of these mechanics. The museum I used to work at had a workshop where the building maintenance guy kept his tools, and I can remember many times we would in there to fix something or create some prop or fixture to put in and upcoming temporary exhibit.

This is nice to hear that it has a release date set. If it gets pushed back, that's fine.
