basics of king's chess, board is 24x24, made of 9 sectors of 8x8. pieces may not move between sectors in the same move, with the exception of the new piece the ship. ships have a range of 3 blocks in each cardinal direction, and 2 in each diagonal direction. the ship CANNOT, capture pieces, however it can swap places with either a pawn, knight, or king assuming the swapped placement is a legal move the piece you're swapping with could legally have gotten to in subsequent turns at any point in the game, you start with 2 ships, and at any time you can onyl have 4 ships in play assuming you promoted a pawn to a ship

there's alot more to it than that but its hard to organize
