either that, or the jungle armor. meteor is cool cause it has free lazer ammo, but jungle is more for if you're using any other magic weapon iirc

alternatively you can use the gemstone robes. make a robe with the loom, and then bedazzle it with gems. amber and diamond are best. then you can go underground and rarely you'll find a wizard. you can kill that wizard and it drops the wizard hat. you can put that on, and it gives you full armor set buffs

Ok. A slow, but kinda foolproof strategy that you could potentially do is to take the shadow scales you got, mine hellstone, get a lava bug net, do lava fishing to make an inferno potion, and the inferno potion will auto destroy his projectiles before they hit you
He does shoot less if you’re underground as well, if you’re fighting on the surface
