The tag damage only lasts like 3 seconds

So you need to be constantly whipping

wait what? then how does whip stacking work? i was told that you whip them with each whip you have and then just spam your most powerful whip

You just cycle attacking with 2 whips, or 3 if you’re fast and have like the durendal buff

You need to be constantly reapplying it

Whip stacking works because both tag bonuses apply and you can switch weapons fast enough to do multiple, not because they last forever

Some whips like the firecracker only have an effect for a single hit

get amphibian boots and ice wings. this is enough to dodge most of skele prime's attacks. make an arena equipped with honey, fireplace, heart lantern, bast statue if you can. then wear charm of myths. this should give you enough survivability to kill him before he kills you

also i know he said summoner, but mage players often sleep on mana regen potions. idk why everyone always chugs man potions like beer at a frat house. i never use those nasty blue potions. just stop firing for literally 2 seconds while under a mana regen potion and youll be full mana again

have you tried using a mana regen potion? most you get is a slight reduction in fire rate if you continue firing

(sry that came off quite hostile. didnt mean it that way)

I don't rely on regen because I like charging weapons such as the Charged Blaster/Last Prism, however, I can see regen being a much better alternative in mid/early game

i use regen for prism as well. realy the only things that needs that constant beam for longer than your mana pool will supply are moon lord and the two moon events, the latter of which provides hits you frequently enough that celestial cuffs will keep your mana up and drops enough hearts that youll never die.

the thing about mana regen pots is that doing anything involving switching weapons or focussing on something that isnt firing your weapon, such as repositioning yourself or putting more attention to dodging something than firing, will regen a stupid amount of your mana bar. you will rarely need to wory about it. it also eliminates the time between running out of mana and the regen process starting so all you realy get if you continue to hold left click is a decrease in fire rate

yer best bet is to just dig out a small trench around your pylons, (start like 200-300 blocks to the left and right of the pylon, dig down 200 blocks, then dig a tunnel to connect the two trenches

then just cleanse the ground inside the safe zone

(trench needs to be at least 4 blocks wide and tunnel needs to be at least 4 blocks tall)

(so it won't re-contaminate)

(it even has the real enchanted sword, not a fake!)
