it's balanced in late hardmode only because of its defense meaning you have to know how to dodge things (and Spooky armor almost kinda outdoes it, but Obsidian armor is still the only armor in the game to boost whip speed)

problem is its a pre-hm armor so that's kinda busted

I think the issue there is the sandstorm/bundle is extremely powerful and relogic might just not want to provide a reliable and consistent way to get it

but you can say the same thing about terraspark boots, celestial cuffs, and a lot of other things you can get reliably

Terraspark is entirely quality of life, it’s functionally not much different than lightning boots. The cuffs also don’t really take any grinding except buying one accessory from the merchant. The amount of mobility and control the sandstorm, and especially the bundle, provides is unparalleled in prehardmode and a decent chunk of early hardmode

While I get what you were saying, I don’t think any of those come close to the power of a bundle of balloons

Now, spot you stand should be directly under lava, 1 block floor between. I don't remember exact height of pyramid, but should be at least 10 blocks high. Slopes hammered. You can add spear traps to speed up process. Works fine for me.

After unlocking Steampunker I swap blocks to Conveyor Belt and add some more traps and summons
