there's about three new bosses (2 full bosses and 1 miniboss) and there's about 4-5~ new town npc's, and the desert has been revamped, as well as the ocean has been slightly updated, and the dungeon has had some changes, underground biome has seem a fuck ton of changes. there's a bunch new enemies, just a whole whole lot more in the game now

since terraria runs at 60hz
on 75hz monitor every fifth frame is same as the previous one
the only solution is to change monitor resolution via nvidia control panel, from 75hz to 60hz
it works, but it takes some time to do that
I remember that in minecraft and some other games you can change resolution the game runs at
if you have a 1920*1080, 75hz monitor for example, you can change resolution to:
-current
-always 1920*1080, 75hz
-always 1920*1080, 60hz; etc
and others, lower ones, but the point is that you can change resolution's frame rate in-game
as far as I know, you can't do it in terraria
you can't add different resolutions to programs with nvidia control panel either
let me check terraria's settings again, and I will write the conclusion!!!
there is only one variant of 1920*1080 resolution, and it runs with refresh rate of 75hz
which makes the game run really smoothn't!
so, in conclusion:

Make a 3 block wide hellevator with ropes placed from the surface to the underground layer to prevent thorns on the side where the corruption/crimson is. (Thorns can grow up to 6 block across and spread biome so you need to prevent them, using ropes is the easiest method).
If you want to protect the jungle you'd need to make the same vertical hellevator with ropes on the side of the corruption/crimson but you also need to place ropes from the surface to hell on the side where the jungle is it also grows thorns which could grow across the hellevator, become infected and spread back.
If you're making horizontal tunnels to contain biome spread it should be 3 wide but vines can also spread biomes so to prevent them from growing you should place a line of planter boxes on the roof of the tunnel, this is the easiest option since they're fairly cheap, you can walk through them and you can auto-place them since they only place in rows.
Note that walls do not spread biomes so there's no point in removing them and sunflowers are only effective in pre hardmode since biomes at this stage only spread via grass and thorns.

Go to the mechanic, get a 1/4 second timer, a wrench, and some wire. Put the imp statue down, make a box of blocks around it, and connect it to the timer with the wrench and wire. Summon a melee minion like a flinx, vampire frog, spider, anything that’ll stay in the box and attack them as they spawn. Activate the timer and let the minions kill them as they spawn. Put down the banner once you get it to speed it up

You need to mine desert fossils and then put them in the extractornator which you can get by killing king slime or finding it in underground houses
You get desert fossils by mining in the underground desert biome, they are common there

Ranger is good at every stage of the game, the lunar event is just rather difficult and is a big difficulty spike. If you’re facing the solar pillar and keep dying to the giant flying worms then stay on the ground, they only attack you in the air. Also you can get better ranged weapons from the vortex pillar. You’re not gonna get better armor and you can get weapons that are a bit better but overall you’re not gonna upgrade much before the moon lord, it’s completely reasonable to kill him like that
