For ranger i would say all the way star cannon with the travelling merchants ammo crate, ammo conservative potion and necro armor to have as much ammo as possible while shredding wall with all buffs you can get
Or hellwing bow

Mage i guess demon scythe/waterbolt/book of skulls are really reliable

Melee i am not sure as meleeing wall sounds difficult but i would say cascade yoyo, sunfury as they have some more range

Idk I think it might just be a charging port issue, but my iPad might be on its way out, so if it does and my terraria save file dies I’m gonna start playing on pc. New player here. I just spent a month in pre-hardmode, 90% of that time spent digging tunnels and hellevators to prevent crimson and hallow from spreading.
A few days ago I fought the wall of flesh.

Today i smashed three altars, fought all three mechanical bosses for the first time, upgraded to a drax (have been using a Hellstone Pickaxe for all of my tunnel digging), only died once to my first Solar Eclipse, upgraded through like 3 tiers of all of my weapons, fought Plantera, and quickly raided almost all of the biome chests in the dungeon.
