That's not a question I know how to answer simply. I've only played for a few months, and then only on classic.

I absolutely would not be using ranged weapons with molten armor if I was having trouble downing bosses though. I'd get a Sunfury or a good yoyo and the yoyo bag, or just make the Night's Edge.
