also, I never do this but a lot of people do, and its get a bunch of crates so the moment you enter hardmode you can open them and get hardmode ore immediately.

it should be a 3 block wide hellevator with ropes going from the surface to the underground layer on one side to prevent thorns from growing across (if you’re building it to protect the jungle you should place ropes on both sides because the jungle also has thorns which could potentially grow across and come into range of the corrupted thorns on the other side)

its 5 blocks wide and remove the walls in that 5 blocks
corrupted walls don't spread to blocks
and thorns can grow up to 6 blocks across so if you didn't block the thorns with sm like ropes it would have to be 7 wide which is a huge waste of time

you could use an all item world like builders workshop or inventory editor like terrasavr, orrrr you can reach the final wave in the frost moon which triggers a Christmas event for the next day allowing you to get the snow globe from presents
