You can talk to the dryad in a graveyard biome, buy crimson seeds in a corruption world then make blood water, make an artificial crimson underground then wait for some to spawn, then farm mimics

you uh don't have to, but if you kill a mech boss (The Destroyer/Skeletron Prime/The Twins) you'll get an npc called the Steampunker who sells green solution and a clentaminator, buy the clentaminator and as much green solution as you can and use that to stop/slow the spread of corruption/crimson

alternatively you can also put the steampunker in the hallow for blue solution

In a nutshell: Green solution can be bought from the steampunker anywhere except a hallow biome, and will spread the normal/default biome type, Blue solution can be bought if your steampunker is in the hallow and will spread the hallow, red/purple solution can only be obtained during a bloodmoon and spreads crimson/corruption, and finally dark blue can be bought from the truffle, and if used in the jungle will make one massive mushroom biome
