Btw you can make the arena for him on the surface, it might be weirder to get used to because in expert mode all the segments spit on you, but usually you don't notice it because of the walls underground, you should also try using hunter and featherfall potions to make dodging easier. Obviously use regen, ironskin, endurance and swiftness potions if you weren't already, as well as sashimi or burgers or the best food you have rn. Don't forget to put many campfires around your arena, and generally keep moving so you can dodge him more easily, if yoy stay in one spot he starts to make a cage on you with all his segments

I like that they take significant damage if you shoot the balloons or strike them.
Personally I liked it more when terraria felt more isolated, but the whole thing with npc spirits occupying the nearest people to aid the mc makes sense.
Wouldn't be any other reason for them to respawn under different names.
Also there's like desiccated bodies in spider caverns and zombies and random bodies of fallen adventurers. I suppose the MC himself probably should be considered a spirit too, as he respawns like npcs.
I kind of want there to be a story, it's just tricky to feel it when they make such odd tweaks here and there.
Most of all, I kinda want more control over the music. I vibed with some of the classics more than the new ones.
That upbeat fanfare from turning Terraria on bugs me.

Lemme just wait for you to bite on my hook while fending off possessed armors and wandering eyes, then we can have a battle where you dart in, hit me 3 times per attack, and then hide in the ground in between. Also be sure to throw out undodgeable touhou waves of shots and summon minions that do same. All in the last hour of the night so you can run away when you're losing.

It's pretty hard. I've been using Prime to farm for dev sets. The melee arms can move as fast as you fall, and the head will mess you up.

Also his movement AI is borked so he won't stay in a place where you can hit him, but rather might hang out off screen if you move around too much.
You're going to want a longer distance weapon than the kraken for when he does that.

Onyx blaster is not bad either. The separate shots will hit the arms and wear them down while the main shot hits the head or an arm if you miss.
