Just clarifying to the Terraria community, I think we can all agree that Corruption/Crimson is basically a Terraria world's version of Cancer. NPCs won't live in Corruption/Crimson, there is no Corruption/Crimson Pylon and late-game it becomes more of a blockage than anything else. And Cancer, by definition, is a clump of 'garbage cells' caused by mutated pregenator cells growing more garbage cells out of control, sort of like a single block of Corruption or Crimson slowly spreading and consuming your world and making it uninhabitable. As a person who's been through Cancer, I'd argue that comparing it to cancer is a, well, pretty parallel way of describing it.

Ooof dude there was this MASSIVE patch of Corruption, basically the ENTIRE LEFT SIDE OF MY WORLD, so I planned to make vertical shafts up/down the world, from the surface to hell, and then use the Clentaminator on both sides to erase as much of the Corruption as possible
It worked. Hell of an expensive operation tho.

IF you want to be thorough, fast and effective at combating the Corruption/Crimson
But if it's in the middle of the Jungle...
Yeah, just get a Drill Containment Unit and remove that shit before it grows any larger.

BOTH the Drill Containment Unit, which is used for drilling out LARGE AREAS of blocks, AND the Clentaminator, which is used for converting biomes en masse, are BOTH godsends late-game
HIGHLY expensive but HIGHLY worth all of the cash you pour into them.

Hey, pro tip from a vet-
If you need the cash for the Clentaminator, just grind the Pumpkin Moon once you get a Meowmere
Then once you get a Horseman's Blade or two, make a Zenith, add Legendary to that Zenith and you'd suddenly have as much cash as you need for all your projects.

Comparison - Moon Lord drops like 1 Platinum per kill, the Pumpkin Moon, for me at least, yields anywhere from 45-110 Platinum per night.

The hardest ingredients to come across for me are probably the Enchanted Sword (1/50 drop from Gold/Titanium Crates) and the Seedler (Plantera Drop)

Okay, calm down GAZ, buddy. I'll help you.
First things first, the Wiki is your friend - https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/Terraria_Wiki
Second, we recommend newbies start with a Normal character (AVOID HARDCORE) and start with a Large, Normal/Classic world.
THIRD, If you see purple or red land, stay away for now. This is the Corruption (Purple)/Crimson (Red). The world always spawns with one and not the other.
FOURTH, if you dig too deep, you might stumble across Hell. This is a very high-level zone, so be careful there.
FIFTH, if you stumble across an old man at a weird brick structure, don't speak to him at night until you conquer the Corruption/Crimson. This is the Dungeon. It will be important that you STAY OUT of the Dungeon until you talk to the Old Man and free him from his "Curse".
SIXTH - You will stumble across many friends in your journey. Helping them out, trading with them, making them homes, beating bosses and progressing is how you win at Terraria.

It was released in 1.4 to be THE DEFACTO HARDEST DIFFICULTY IN ALL OF TERRARIA.
Very difficult and I would argue, only for Professionals.
For newcomers, I'd recommend Normal Mode Players and Normal/Classic Worlds.
I think the best way to understand something Terraria-Related is to check the wiki, you guys. I'd ignore Uze's, or any of the trolls', advice and I'd check the wiki.

Master Mode in general, as a Veteran Player, was just me and my siblings dying over and over and over again and making so many headstones it made more graveyard biomes meaning more deaths and more headstones, over and over and over again.
It was just a self-perpetuating nightmare haha 😂
