Can anyone give me some advice on what I should do to prep for hardmode.

I've already built a skytram from edge to edge. I built a hellevator, I built an underground tunnel from edge to edge. I built a mushroom biome with fishing pier. I've built fishing piers in all the biomes except caverns yet. I'm working on an artificial jungle biome near home base. I feel like there is more to do but its hard to keep track of everything to prepare properly.
