I understand that it can totally be seen as cheese to use afk statues, I feel that since it is implemented into the game it was considered and left in for a reason. To make farms Is such a complex part of Minecraft for instance. It adds a way to shape you’re world to be efficient if you don’t want to manually farm something. For those who enjoy it they can use them, and for those who don’t, can stick to manual methods of grinding. I feel a lot of the controversy around the these topics is because we enter games expecting them to define the difficulty at which we experience them, and as we are handed the tools to adjust it, it makes us consider where our own enjoyment comes from while playing games. It’s given me a deeper range of ways to enjoy games by experimenting with different styles of play.

Nah think of it more like this. You have 3 platinum, and you find a new weapon. You reforge and spend 2 plat without getting the best reforge. You say to yourself "man if i run out of money on a bad reforge im fucked" so you stick with the one u have now which is 2nd best. OR you say "man i really want this top reforge i need to make some money" and u go and kill a few golems or something

either way I feel personally it's just more enjoyable to play when your coin isnt endless.
