Jeez i finally beat golem. I used the arena in the temple but it was just plain and simply too small. So i had my buddy wait on the side of the tempe where our plantera arena was. I slowly lured golem across the temple, then wormholed to the other side of the brick wall to the arena. We figured out to use chloro bullets insted and how to kill him. If you don't take out his fists in expert before he goes into his second phase, they go ballistic, so take them out first. We did it finally

I am a ranger person with minions on the side, so i think the best combo of armors for endgame is the shroomite helmet/headgear/mask/(whichever accordingly) with red riding cape and boots. It provides more ranged damage than the shroomite chestpiece and boots. And your faster

A great tip from personal experience is to always carry and use a pressure plate when exploring the underground
