Now I'm not fully certain, but the blowgun(bought from the witch doctor) with poison darts might be an option. It's sitting at 27 ranged damage. With the poison darts (crafted from stingers), you can constantly be applying poison. Tricky part would be the hungries though... Now as a note. I've not played ranger before. But I'm checking wiki for stat stuff

That's a good thing. If you use the item you get a toggleable thing that when used, transforms regular torches into biome torches.

The Hercules Scarab is sold by the Witch Doctor if you have the pygmy staff and are in the jungle.
Mourning Wood is a boss fought in the Hallow moon event which is brought forth via... I believe a pumpkin medallion, made from silk, pumpkins, and ectoplasm

the hercules beetle doesn't require the pygmy staff to be in your inventory on pc
and the medallion takes pumpkins, ectoplasm and hallowed bars

mine them or fish up crates to get ore; you'll need a molten pick to mine the first set (colbalt or palladium) and then use those to get the next set (mythril/orichalcum), then use those to get the last set (adamantite/titanium), then you can use those to make a general armour, or get sand/snow stuff to combine with them for hybrid sets (sand for mage/summon, snow for melee/range)

So if the pc shuts off so does the server
PC will also get pretty hot so will have to keep it cooled down
Although with tshock there comes a lot of specifics too so will have to research that stuff
