it's not great but it's not bad either, it's usually the starter to do bosses. You could : go to the jungle and get spores/stingers to craft the grass sword or chakram, strong weapons. You should try to get a Feral Claws, also in jungle chests, to have your weapon autoswing. Then you should finish a gold armor.

first you farm some gear then you do all 3 mechanical bosses, no particular order. But you could also do queen slime, it's not super hard. You can also do duke fishron but he's much harder than the mechas. All the other bosses require you to do the mechas
