Two things you can do: Prepare for the harder mobs or break an altar and mine what you can, early hardmode can be hell but bear with it and you can get revenge on everything that screwed with you

If your patent you can get hardmode ores from fishing alone and stay in "hardmode limbo"

Aka pre-altar destruction, destroying one causes a lot of things to be possible

the hardmode ore climb in 7 easy steps
step 1: to spawn the new hardmode ore you want to smash lots (6 or 9 is good) of the evil altars (leave 1 for crafting) with the Pwnhammer you got from WoF
step 2: use your molten pickaxe (crafted from hellstone) to mine cobalt/palladium
step 3: use cobalt/palladium to make a new pickaxe (and optionally power bombs to help with hardmode ore mining)
step 4: use cobalt/palladium pickaxe (or power bombs) to mine mythril/orichalcum
step 5: use mythril/orichalcum to make a new hardmode anvil and a new pickaxe
step 6: use mythril/orichalcum pickaxe (or power bombs) to mine adamantite/titanium
step 7: combine 30 adamantite/titanium ore with a hellforge while standing by your new hardmode anvil to craft your new hardmode forge, and then make yourself some new armour

the Guide NPC is your best friend, he can tell you general goals to work towards and what you can craft with different materials
learn how to build housing and more helpful NPCs will join your little village as long as you have suitable free homes and you fulfil any other requirements they might have
always brings some platforms and/or rope with you to make exploration easier, at least until you get really good mobility accessories
explore the world, loot all chests you find, and remember to have fun! 🙂

Hey guys, there is any good doc or written guide for setups for farm's? Like mushroom, herbs, monsters etc?

Herbs I find easiest to use a staff of regrowth/axe of regrowth and planter boxes purchased from the dryad; mushrooms are similar - make a surface dirt/mud/mushroom set where you do three rows one block apart, then a three blank space for you to walk on and gather from. Mob farms I find easiest to clear an area, then do a runway of your chosen material thats just over a screen wide. Halfway across, put a pit that is 8 wide and 6ish deep (enough you cant jump out of without accessories), then put one bucket of lava into that pit and stand under it and let the mobs run across the platform into the pit trying to get to you, die to lava, profit

Dodge. Make sure you have a good arena. Use adamantite or titanium armor. Use the charm of myths. Get wings. I recommend fairy wings cuz that’s what I use for the mech bosses and it’s ez to get. For melee, I use the shadowflame knife but you can also use bananarang, for ranger, use Daedalus stormbow with holy arrows, for summoner, use the cool whip with the blade staff, for mage, use the meteor staff.

1: Nimbus Rod from the angry nimbus (spawns during rain), this is amazing. You can also use the crimson Rod in addition to the nimbus Rod.
2: Anything that pierces is nice, if you have many fallen stars, maybe the star cannon that you perhaps used for wall of flesh is nice. Another nice thing is Daedalus stormbow (from hallow mimic) + Holy arrows (pixie dust + unicorn horn) or jester arrows (fallen stars)
3: Mobility and dodging are key, never get hit by the face of the destroyer, use your minimap to anticipate where he is charging towards and move accordingly.
4: Potions and buffs:

• stock up on medium food of the travelling merchant, easy armor and life regen
  -campfire and heart lanterns in your arena, preferably also bast statue and if you want you can also make small Honey stations for increased regeneration
  -Make a house at your arena with the nurse in it, put a bed in it, so you can teleport in a pinch to your home and quickly heal
  -Regeneration potion and iron skin potions are easy to obtain, use them to your advantage, you can also, if you still have trouble, get additional potions such as wrath, rage and endurance, although it requires fishing.

Break altars and first get titanium armor, you can put the mage helmet in your cosmetic slot and the melee helmet in your main slot and swap between the 2 helmets to swap your main style.
Titanium armor is highly recommended to get a foothold in early Hardmode

So body + legs = same for all style
Helmet determines which set bonus you get. (Melee, mage or range set bonus)

so you don’t need 2 seperate armor sets, just 2 seperate helmets

Yep, the blood moon has no progresive chance of any kind - so you can end up with no blood moon for hours and hours, or back to back bloodmoons

make a tunnel to the side of a living tree and into a box with no background walls then connect the tunnel about 1/3 way down the living tree and then block all other spawns you con think of (like air pockets under ground) then wait for gnomes to spawn and case you down the tunnel when they reach the area with no background walls the will be turned into the statue

if i do "tooeasy" in a seed, is there any prehardmode content I miss out on? I know that certain enemies spawn less frequently because the pool of enemies is larger. Besides those enemies and their banners being harder to find, are there any exclusive items in prehardmode?
