you only get one type per world (unless you play something other than normal world seeds). if you want the other ones you can either shimmer them or get them from fishing crates

Early game metals come in 4 tiers.
Tier 1- copper or tin
Tier 2- iron or lead
Tier 3- tungsten or silver
Tier 4- gold or platinum
A world will pick one of each to generate with.

They each come with slightly different stats, but are mostly equal. If you find the special liquid known as shimmer, you can throw in metals to downgrade them through the chain, from platinum to copper.

Mostly useful for collecting the alternate ores if you want them

However, if your friends are able to play, the fault is probably with the WiFi. Do you have a cable connection (ethernet) to the router?

You could also check if there are any updates for Steam.

If you couldn't connect at all, it could be the firewall. But if you get into the world for even 1 second, the problem isn't that.

They’re incredibly complex socially and visually interesting, and I think even tiny ambient ones could add a lot of life to certain biomes.

If you give ants a plate with leftovers, they will definitely eat most of the food. But they walk all over the plate while doing it, so it wouldn’t be hygienic to use it afterward without washing it properly.

So technically they’d remove the leftovers — but you’d still need to clean the plate yourself.

The few times I tried to purify a world completely I just used a map viewer to see where that last corrupted block is because unless you're willing to mine your entire world you will never find it.

Also make sure to restart your world when talking to the dyrad

i have something really cursed to say as a mage player. best combo pre hardmode is arcane on every acessory. jungle armor, and mana flower with magnet flower, and celestial cuffs along with nature's bounty, mana regen band, magic cuffs, and then something extra, idk just pick something useful as well like boots or something (also arcane)

440-460 mana easily, mana is regened if you're damaged. mana cost is down to like 53% reduction as well, so weapons mana cost is a bit more than half along with regening ~14 mana a second

so if you're shooting a weapon that has idk 16 use time 3.75 attacks a second, but uses 3.71 mana per attack, thats 13.9 mana drain. aka less than ~14 mana a second. meaning, you can shoot the aqua scepter as if its cost was 0 mana

thats 101.25 dmg a second with that weapon, and if you have say a 10k hp boss, thats 98 seconds you need to survive. so maybe for extra damage skull helm, or like worm scarf/brain of confusion

yeah its actually nice with high defense builds, though one of the items i cant remember, mana regen band i think regens mana based on how much you have and what % down you are. as low as +3 mana, and as high as +14 mana a second

so take a mana cost 7 item (apply a 53% discount) and its use is 16, so 60/16 is the fire rate. 3.75/s, so thats 13.9 mana used per second

that weapon becomes essentially free to use like how meteor armor impacts the magic gun family

meteor staff with that could be entirely devistating. though obviously with it being use time 10, its going to blow through mana like crazy

6 attacks a second. and without mana reduction, that's only 14 seconds of continuous fire before you run out

if you wanna use mods (that change how the game works) then you need to play Terraria using tmodloader (which as the name suggests loads mods for Terraria), and if you use tmod then you don't get any achievements
