my setup for quarantining is always at least 6 blocks wide with the sides always covered in a non-corruptible block, so the gap is technically 8 blocks

It's a 3 block minimum with something in place to stop thorns from hopping the gap.
I don't remember how far thorns can grow, but 10 seems like plenty.

you would probably be completely lost and find the game incredibly difficult if you just hopped into mods, since mods tend to add things that might be difficult, or janky, and will even add things that will overwhelm a veteran player. I know that sometimes it takes me like, an hour just to finally feel like I'm past all the introductions that mods add.

Terraria's vanilla experience is not like minecraft where if you're super into action packed content, you'll get bored. Terraria alone has like, 20 bosses and loads of raid events, and hundreds of enemies and loads of things to find and explore. base game terraria gives you thousands of hours of content. At least try to beat the game first.

If you can fight Dukey boy without Truffle mount, you can fight EoL without Truffle mount.

Truffle mount is just there for confidence boost to the player cuz it's so cute, it distracts the player of the boss mental pressure

2: i find the corruption enemies easier to fight, but the crimson has better loot

You can easily get those, nocap. Just progress the game normally and you'd later on have too much it'd be annoying as a drop xD

But then, an easy light pet to get is the void orb or crimson heart in your corrupt biome. Just break those orbs/hearts you'd find in the biome and it is a possible drop

Getting Jungle armor and a nature's gift soon as possible is recommended, the nature's gift doesn't do too much on it's own but once you get the goblin tinkerer you can combine it with a mana potion at a tinkerer's workshop to make the mana flower, it's a pretty useful accessory that allows you to automatically drink mana potions instead of manually. Once you've beaten the Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu a meteor should spawn relatively soon afterwards and collecting the ore will allow you to make the meteor set and space gun, it's a good weapon to use against skeletron and wearing the meteor set will make it so that the gun takes no mana. From there you can find the waterbolt in the dungeon, it's a great weapon to use against the Wall of Flesh. Alternatively if you get lucky enough for the demon scythe to drop from a demon then that's also a great option.

Once you get into hardmode I'd recommend crafting the meteor staff to use against the destroyer, it's one of the easiest options available early hardmode and it does pretty good damage to the boss. Also the Crystal Storm and Cursed Flame/Golden Shower are some of the best mage weapons early hardmode. If you're lucky enough for the wandering trader to sell the Orange Zapinator then I'd say definitely get it, it's supposed to be kind of a meme weapon but it's unironically a really good weapon early hardmode.

i've played on consoles since old gen xbox 360 and only recently played it on PC and i'll say it feels way better on keyboard bc that's what it was made for

controller kind of blows and console screens are not meant for how small everything is in terraria

also use a guide and watch yt tutorials !!! it will make your life 10x easier

uhh i'm on campus rn but i can give you a few tips for the early game that might help u!

-construct a house for the guide immediately, a valid house can be something as simple wooden box with one door, a workbench and chair, a sealed off wall, and a light source. surface enemies cannot break through doors unless its a blood moon, which you won't have to worry about until you get your first heart crystal anyways.
-there are surface chests usually found in cave entrances that have some materials that will give you a little boost in the early game, but for good movement accessories like the hermes boots you will need to find those in underground houses. I would start exploring caves using these cave entrances as soon as the guides' house has been made
-use the H key for instant healing from any potion in your inventory, way quicker than keeping a potion in your hotbar
-if you have a desert nearby cactus armor will give you a huge armor boost. cactus can be mined with axes
-play on classic mode for your first playthrough!

do you remember what stage of progression you were at when you last played bc i can give you more specific tips that way too

also you can select smart cursor using the control button which will make mining ores and trees and placing walls much faster. use the regular cursor if you want to place down blocks somewhere though (i did not know this when i first played)

I've honestly found walling off the initial biomes a waste of time unless your evil biome is directly connected to your jungle because your main source of spread will later be your underground evil that forms in hard mode

And if you have the money in the early game it's probably a better investment to put your hellevator somewhere in between your jungle and evil using dynamite

Hey all, I enter on the hardmode recently, but the crimsom got the jungle, what i do?

before entering hardmode you should have made a hellevator at least 5 blocks wide on both sides of the crimson or stone walled it off the same length. anything less than that the crimson will seep through.

what you will have to do now is work towards the clentaminator, which is essentially a "flamethrower" that will remove all infected parts. you will have to either buy or make "green solution" for this to work

I isolated the carmine biome on the left side, there were two biomes but there weren't any on the right side, so I left it there.
