I don't think it's possible to reset achivements, at least not if you're using Steam. They are synced with your Steam account.

Would be cool if it was possible though, because achivements are nice to give you a goal to do.
It works quite well for Minecraft with its advancements system

Even back before the whole Pylon and npc happiness update, I couldn't do that. Back then I used to build one humongous mega-base. One time I had a huge glass dome. Another time I had a massive tower. Other times I dug underground. I gave each npc their own room, and furniture and crafting table. Nowadays with the town system, I build a bunch of biome themed towns or buildings to house npc's around the world. That with the pylons makes traveling around a lot easier.

you mean you beat wall of flesh? yeah. Just like when you made the world, each ore tier has one of two kinds that can spawn in your world, and it picks one. It's either Cobalt or Palladium. Then it's Mythril or Orichalcum. Then it's Titanium or Adamantite.

early hardmode is weird because you kinda have to run through 3 tiers of ores, just like early game. You just mine Cobalt or Palladium, get that pickaxe, then mine Mythril or Orichalcum, get that pickaxe, then mine Titanium or Adamantite.

yeah the best ore one

Titanium is pretty significantly better than Adamantite, so if you have Adamantite, and also Orichalcum, you might debatably get better results using Orichalcum's full set bonus over Adamantite? but Adamantite should have more defense than it. The mech bosses can be really tough in my experience. Usually when you beat one of the mech bosses, you use their drops in order to get stronger gear so the rest of them will be much easier, but it's up to you which one is easiest.

also depends on your class. If you're using mostly Melee weapons, Adamantite or Titanium is recommended. If you're using mostly ranger weapons, then it can be either Frost armor or Adamantite. For mage apparently Adamantite is recommended. for summoner, you'll want Spider Armor.

But don't sweat the Adamantite/Titanium difference, ultimately. Especially since you'd have to make an entirely separate world in order to reroll metals. It's not really worth it to care so much about those differences, it's just I guess.. "most optimal"

Yes. If platinum has been generated then gold will not appear. They are basically the same tier of ore

It's like like for the other early game ores as well :)

If I remember correctly it's copper, silver and gold OR tin, tungsten, and platinum

You'll still get gold chests in a platinum world though

nah its just copper or tin, iron or lead, silver or tungsten, and gold or platinum, all selected individually
