Cal Overhaul in a nutshell v2:
This mod adds completely random shit with zero balance and coherence (like adding a crafting grid for some reason while also taking features from Avaritia, a minecraft mod), using the fact that it reworks murasama (which steals code from Stars Above swords for its effects) for clicks, while also ignoring the fact like half of its features use stolen code and assets from other mods like Stars Above, Infernum (removed it supposedly) and Wrath of the Gods for all its things, heck some sprites are just ripped off from Cal (did they update yet?)

it can also just brick your character and sometimes even worlds if you disable the mod so that's extra fun.

And causes more bugs due to it trying to edit shit it shouldnt, some which even lock you out of progress such as making some bosses unable to be fought.

The only reason it remains up is due to community backlash if we take it down since it has been for too long (even before devs noticed it was already becoming popular) and cuz of Tmod ToS not allowing us to (probably due to said community backlash).

Expect it to break more and more stuff as Cal or even other addons update as its known to cause issues with most things. Might even get as bad as Calamity Yoyo bag buffed which was an infamous buggy mod from the 1.3 days (that we could not take down due to the same reasons as Cal Overhaul).

learning the bosses patterns

its why mods are really fun, you can fight new bosses with new patterns, but if you play calamity you have to take a few months away from playing terraria to build up rust to play small mods like lunar veil or spirit or split or polarities

mods that are extremely easy compared to calamity

Nope.

You have two ways out of this.

Patient way and impatient.

Either you wait for that 1% on your world to spread to be visible on the map, so you can get rid of it, meanwhile doing something else

Or

Create small world, get dryad and go ham with clentaminator for achievement.

As for your world, mostly that 1% is at the edges of the world.

Using biome sight potion is recommended while doing this

if you play terraria on steam, there is an option in the game where the steam workshop content can be accessed.
search "world with things 1.4.4.9"
you will get a map.
now this map can be imported using the workshop section in terraria. once you join the world, you will get the achievement.
no multiplayer required

you also have to pay attention to what it spreads to, if it can only spread to grass then it'll take a bit longer to expand out vs sand which is much faster

Hola! Im on my first ever solo expert mode playthrough and am now faced with the moonlord. So far Ive managed not to have to fish for potions at all, but seeing how every source online seems to just assume I have tons of them, I do wonder whether or not they are mandatory. Anyone able to enlighten me?

not too hard, the dryad will sell planter boxes which can help you get started on herb farming

if you found any herb bags in surface chests that'll help out getting started with that too

for fishing side of things, the mechanic sells a mechanical fishing rod on certain moon phases, if she doesn't have it just check back tomorrow, and you can get loads of bait by breaking jungle bushes and capturing the critters that spawn out

then you just gotta find/create large enough pools of water for the fish you want

the reason most people assume you have potions already is that they are also commonly found in chests, looting the shadow chests in hell offer some high value ones like life force

Well I always had the potions, that were possible to brew without fishing. I did set up planter boxes early on, but could never get myself to stand next to a lake for an extended period of time. I also have for instance never found a rage potion or endurance potion anywhere.

some aren't found in chests and that is a shame, but maybe there could be some sorta crab box that can be implemented to make fishing for those ingredients easier for some players

I wish there was a way to get at least a few without fishing. Its a pretty big downer especially since I preperation for other bosses never seemed as excessive. Now fishing for potions setting up an arena for a boss fight I feel ill likely fail the first attempt of regardless is not something im looking forward to.

the same exact thing happened when I got the desert key

I was mid building my farm and then it just dropped

all the hours spent in my farm, killing over 1300 chaos elementals and no rod of discord
