When playing Terraria, my game works fine for a while. Some time later, it flickers once or twice. The next time the flicker occurs, the game window goes completely black. I can still hear the sound or use items or whatever, I just can't see my screen. At first I thought it was random/time related, but now I see that whenever I go to a specific area (slightly below and to the right of the shimmer to make a few houses), this problem occurs. I can alt-tab to see my desktop or whatever other window without issue. I could run the game on windows without any problem. Is there any solution to this?

I've thought of something... hypothetically, Necro armor can be obtained before any bosses. Pianos can be found in underground houses, and take 4 bones to craft. shimmering them will give you said bones. So in theory... if you were to obtain 38 pianos, you can get necro armor

I think the silver broadsword is better given the modifiers

You can always do the math, annoying gives -20% damage and -15% swing speed while ruthless gives +18% damage an -10% knockback. Take the base damage of the swords, use the modifiers on them and voila

Or use a target dummy / DPS meter in game to see the damage output visually

I tend to live in a crap tunnel until I get a bit into hardmode, then I start actually building. It's a lot easier to build when you have the fun toys, like drills and unlimited flight mounts.

Neat progression tip. You don't need to kill BoC or EoC to progress. Just do enough damage to get enough scales/samples to craft a pickaxe, then molten is yours.

Fun fact, you don't ever need to even summon him to get end game gear.

Kill woffle with pree-Evil Boss gear, fish for hardmode metal crates, boom.
